Final Fantasy Freaks: 5 years, 6 months agoOk, just going for a long shot, but has anyone else suffered from FFXIII freezing up on them on PS3? I’m over 40 hours in the game, on chapter 12 with no problems before, just now i cant get it to load any of my games. PS3 is still doing good, still loads other games, logs on to PSN, plays movies, even netflix dvd still works, just FFXIII…[Read more]

Ive heard of this problem most likely your ps3 wont read any FFXIII game again, some one told me they bought 3 copies and none of them worked after this happened to them, try using the game on anther ps3 or another disk also if you have the older fat ps3 remember it does get hot so look at the disk it could have warped, my friend has a xbox game…[Read more]

my ps3 still runs other games and movies, and still works, plus i have a little table fan behind it just to keep it ventilated so overheating doesnt seem like a problem. and although i havent tried to use a different copy on my system yet, i dont want to think ill never be able to play that game again. i know theres reports of it happening out…[Read more]

why don’t you take your system and game into gamestop and see if they can test the game on another PS3 and if they can test a used copy of the game on your PS3, this way you will know if its the disk or your PS3, just a thought

the closest gamestop from me is a good 50 miles away…all i have in this town is a hastings and they wouldnt do favors like that. i am thinking though of just renting another copy first, its just a matter of actually doing it.

Well, its going to be a while for me to try it…my ps3 just bricked on me…not blaming XIII on it, but yeah, sucks that it happened.

Well, its been 2 months…my PS3 died on me and I finally got a new one. Sadly to say though, I DO believe FFXIII was the cause of my PS3 dying. I tried to run the same game disc on the new system and it didn’t work..started giving the same problems as the old one. So yeah..guess I’ll have to get a new copy
