I'm really excited about this, how about you guys?

Oh yea I forgot about that... the CEO of crypton stated that at the panel at comic con ...
He also stated that if enough users like this page, he'd bring the vocaloid software to the states

(it needs the min of 37k)
1.Do not want. I want my Miku singing in Japanese. They should instead make that Miku can properly speak Japanese/English.
2.OK, only if they would bring Miku into the West and properly promote her and make concerts all over the world...
...voted for "Bring on world domination!" :)
"Plans for a English Miku to be materialized provided her Facebook has more than 39,390 likes."
OK guys this is your mission: spam it at all other forums you know. Spam it all over the world, so they'll get over 90 000, create multiple facebook accounts and whatever else is needed... :)
If we demand it, they'll do it... At least that's what he said...Just post your request on the link...

Or to be more correct, Like their Hatune Miku facebook page. At 39390 likes they WILL do it.
Before they said this on the 8th, the page had only just over 12000 likes. But at the moment, it currently stands at 17497.
Just 21893 likes left then, so spread the word further!!
Miki sounds alright in English, if Project Diva is anything to go by. She just needs to work on her pronunciation, as to not sound too engrish.
P.S. Since I don't have one, I used my brother's Facebook to like it.
To be honest I'm more interested in a English interface for piapro....
I asked him "Will there ever be a English interface for piapro?" and he told me that he'd create a new one for us folks in the states...
Which means we'll have completely seperate sites -_-....
I asked him again and but this time using "piapro.jp" and he said no with out second thoughts (well at least the translator did...).... Unless we strongly request it it ain't happening...
Those fags could do this a long time ago and without making so much facebook fuss over it.
Instead of creating a bunch of new useless vocaloids (world only needs Miku&Luka) they just could make an English voice bank for Miku and sell the software and the songs online (itunes&co).
How I hate Japanese xenophoby marketing...
So a couple of friends and I were driving around. A friend decides to turn on the radio to look for a music station to listen to. A couple seconds later he comes across a song that is similar to that of Hatsune Miku he comments "(What the hell is this?) I want to listen to humans not robots". It gave everyone in the car a good chuckle.
Ah~
Foreshadowing..
P.S. - I would have put this post in the Your Day thread but this was weeks ago so this place seemed most appropriate.
I checked "hers" account and they managed in 10 hours circa 400 new likes...

That, along with "Heaven is a place on Earth", are the only songs where she sings English that I can listen to.
I hope that if this takes of, we'll see a ton of great original English songs for Miku.
I fucking well hope not.
And after listening to 500 miles, I am even more certain.
I'm still in rehab from Sailormoon season 3 and that was several years ago too.
And for those slamming our synthesized goddess, you obviously haven't been listening to anything from mainstream on TV recently have you. I've heard more than a few musicians altering their voice to sound electronic.
this is the best news I've read this week. I'm kinda sad because if she does then ppl will make crappy poorly translated versions of her already existing songs, but I feel like that's a small price to pay.
I just hope to god that if it happens it's well done and still sounds like the miku I know.

yeah, they should just take the same seiyu - so we get the same lovely voice + the Engrish :) it wouldn't be Miku without Engrish
This guy http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=initializedee#g/u has some nice Miku Engrish songs:
Hmm I might be wrong.
Fuck why couldn't this have been around in the 80s instead of the original music videos.
I say yes do it but keep a similar sounding voice and give her a slight Japanese accent.
The whole point of the English voice bank is for her NOT to have an accent.
Her accent ruins the above songs, preventing them from being nearly as good as they could have been.
I agree that she shouldn't have a Japanese accent. But for that to be possible, Saki Fujita needs to learn English well enough so she doesn't have it anymore, which I think will be difficult.
So realistically she will probably end up having a Japanese accent.
