  5. I knew a preacher once.

He was a small time martial arts instructor and he was the nicest person I had ever had the pleasure of knowing throughout my life. Never once did he bring up the book though. He struck up conversations with everyone who came to his dojo, He listened to the story of every man woman and child that passed through his doors, he gave sound advise wherever possible (though never where inappropriate), he told fun stories whenever he had the time, and only after five or six years of knowing him did he mention in passing that he had once been a preacher.

I didn't need to ask him why he wasn't trying to convert me. It was obvious he respected everyone he spoke to, and he wouldn't force upon them anything, save for the occasional free nunchuks. He was a bit of a philanthropist, that one.

It's a shame that crappy "Taekwondo for Kids" place ran him out of business.

Slightly better than being religious is my guess.

But a 13 year old is at least worth something, even if only very little :)

  8. Fanatics are always bad, regardless of religion, even fanatic atheists are as bad as.

If religious people know they believe in God just to feel better then I have no problems with it.

When you break up with your girlfriend, even if you're the one at fault, you'll get mad at her (for a while, at least), you'll get mad and call her names, you'll feel good doing so, even if you're wrong, you'll still do it. Should you rationalize this you might as well end up hurting yourself. Doing something because it feels good is rational, if someone feels good believing in God then good for them.

    I'm an atheist but I simply don't care/don't judge.

  10. this doesn't nullify my herb smoking. two hands used to roll tight joints is better than two hands at a keyboard used for sparking up useless theism/atheism debates.

    also, pringles.

Sounds famaliar of course =, I have friends like this and I had a best friend who was a hardcore christen.

    Now this thread,
Religious threads are always bait for flame and argument, I had a argument with a friend several hours ago O:, I would not say what it is because it would start a huge flaming inside of here but I have been though so many shit, have seen and heard so many stories, that not believing in a higher power seems like lying to myself,I do not personally believe in religion and have doubts with the bible itself being a 100% to the word(heard of the story of "temple nights") and I will not push my religion, word or thoughts on anyone but this threads is trying to do what people like YOU hate the most.

    Monkeys, y'know, simply put.

    To answer this main topic:

I love it when people take famous intellectuals and use them to further their own personal agendas.
If you're an atheist, then good for you, you actually have some brains.
If you're a theist, then good for you, you have a chance at being happy in life.

Fuck off and leave me alone.
