It has to do with parole. If you grant parole 1/4 of the way through a sentence, for example, then he's still guaranteed to be their for a lifetime.

Meh, i don't get the point of giving parole to people who don't deserve it. Its like expecting a serial killer to repent and give up his ways then releasing it back into public to kill again.
I've always thought that the judicial systems of most countries were pointless and rediculous anyways.
Too bad it's not the terrible deed of binning your son's massive collection that ever gets to be the focal point of a news article.
