  1. That is something that really pisses me off!!!

Like that girl that smiles at you closing her eyes just to try to look cute and using words and phrases in Japanese

I don't know... it really pisses me off seeing people acting so fucking childish just to look cute to other otakus

Specially when you know that that way of acting is fake! They are not really that cheerful or that nice or they don't have that cute personality . . . that is fake!! It pisses me off seeing people acting sooooooo obviously fake!

So what do you guys think? Any experiences with people like that?

  2. It's hard to be judgmental when we all pretty much adore the same thing. lol

If we ended up here on SanCom I think we are all a little weaboo haha.

But still, I kind of hate it when I'm at a convention and a bunch of 13 yr olds run up and scream "SUPA KAWAII DESSUUU!!" or when I'm trying to preview a manga at a book store and a girl comes over to lecture me for 10 minutes on how to hold the book correctly as to not do damage to the holy manga paper.

edit: Also I get tired of random people trying to explain anime to me when I'm at the store like I don't know what the fuck it is. Like "Anime is cartoons from JAPAN! Like POKEMON. OH and also don't forget to read it backwards hur hur hur!" I know it's because I am a preppy looking girl, but I've probably been watching it for longer than they have.

Meh, I don't know if any of that was too relevant but that's what really 'grinds my gears'.

LOL glad that's never happened to me though i'd probably just reply by saying that i own over 1-2k worth of manga so who knows more. But in general answer i've never met people like them.

Oh god, Trust me It sorta annoys you when people do that when You know how to read the damn book already. I also get that alot since not alot of people suspect me of being an otaku, Most suspect I'm a druggie...

Was the first negima box set and arjuna ones for me. The ngima one was easy enough called amazoin told em how it had been damaged upon delivery by the cold and they sent me a new one arjuna however... well that one i looked online(since it was outta print bought ata local convention) but instead of ordering checked the whole town about 4-5 stores(ALL the anime dealing stores i know of) none had that disc was disc 3 and had got a replacement online. Was a pain in my arse and both times i got the shakes like a classic druggie going cold turkey.

  13. I know a Chinese girl and a Thai girl and I'm not sure whether they think they can get away with this because they're Asian, but everytime they have a photo taken, they have to flash the peace sign, anime style.

I know a girl who uses the anime phrases and stuff, but she only uses it when talking to her boyfriend... I'm pretty sure he likes it and it doesn't bother me that much, its just a bit weird.

I really should find those and my gloves too. Hmm wherre are those regular and anti leaf gloves too. BTW i'm quite serious i do own those and i DO wear them well i did but mainly cause they help me deal with excess energy/stress same reason i wear necklaces and various wristbands.

I ran into one of those the other day on one of my bookshopping sessions. I was muttering about my money and how much i had with about 7-10 manga at least in my arms and buying more when i saw him laughing. I think i esploded his brain when i told him i own over 16k anime.

  16. Well, my little sis sometimes has the tendency to act like Shana or Taiga around the house, and honestly I've gotten used to it. Yeah, its tough I know.

The only habit I've honestly obtained is the traditional bowing that shown a lot in Animes when you introduce your self. Agh, working on eliminating that habit, than again, it might not be a bad thing if I *ever* take a trip to Japan.

Ehh, no need to stop bowing, I'be been bowing since before I started watching anime or even become remotely interested in Japan and I don't think it's something that needs to be stopped; it's respectful and should be done regardless of whether anyone has seen anime or not. I will admit my bowing has become much more 'anime-like&#039/traditional Japanese since i have started watching anime though, but still-- It's not a bad thing.

Asian people, well Japanese at least, really do this though.

    It's not an anime thing.

One time I pointed a camara at a friend, and about 3 or 4 random Japanese girls behind, not even in shot of the camara did this and struck a pose.
    -.-

I should probably also point out that I've seen the Chinese girl wearing a Japanese schoolgirl outfit and sailor outfit as kinda everday wear... she's a huge anime/manga fan. This is weird, but at the same time she does look pretty cute it in so who am I to complain.

I suppose you are right, and pardon my previous passage, has it had a bunch of typos(that I just fixed). ^__^

But yeah, the Japanese or should I say, Asians, have a such polite way of introducing themselves, I almost feel sorry for them when they visit US and have to do deal with "our" way of introducing ourselves. But than again, I suppose every culture has its ways.
