Mmmm~ I see. It could be pretty hectic coming here(to live) for the first time. You'll spend awhile taking in the sights, and getting adjusted to school. It doesn't help that there's only about 1 month before the con. Well, if you change your mind....

I happen to live near the San Diego area. I would've gone to Comic-Con if it weren't so freaken' overcrowded. I went their last year and boy it was a nightmare.
As for the New York Anime Festival, its too far from where I live. Besides, we already have Anime Expo and I'm almost out of cash. :P

I'll be going there with people from my club, but once I get there, I'll pretty much split away from them so that I can do some srs shopping. Oh but I won't be able to hang out with anyone on Saturday cause that's when my imouto will be there. And well...quite frankly, I don't want her to know about the site. I'm NOT associating with anyone from Sancom - lol. Plus, it's possible I may actually be in a costume for a certain part of it (we'll see). I don't know how much me or my chickie will want to hang around - after all it is New York.
Plus, I may have to entertain some friends from 'out of town' who are going. I may actually be called upon to film B roll (of the con) as a favor for a TV producer I know (part of the trade-off to get the Press pass I usually like to have).
If by some bizarre stroke of Chance I can get into the 'presence' of Chihara Minari I'll see if I can get a vid or pic of her holding a Sancom Triangle (or something). If I can get a beat on where she's hanging out (like a Bar or something, I'll post it). She'll probably be too well 'Protected' - but she is going to do media or interviews for Bandai to promote "Disappearance of Haruhi" I'm sure someone will carve out 'Time' for her to do press (if you have a "Press Pass").
Then again, I could Busy, Drunk, or tired as Fuck so who knows.
