I've wondered about the same thing myself, specifically spimapan. I mean, ok, why is there more love for cotton panties with stripes than for black silk panties? I once said that on the main site, but for whatever reason my comment was down voted...
I remember that post yeah.
Personally, I'd much rather have a clean pair of panties than worn ones. I wouldn't want eau de vagina on them. Yuck. D:
But anyway, questions about why a certain thing is considered sexy or cute are always hard -if not impossible- to answer. Think about how you would answer why you like large breasts, girl-on-girl wrestling or lotion play. I can only theorize about what makes them attractive, but there's no definitive answer.
I reckon I like seeing panties because you're not supposed to see them. Think of a girl crossing her legs when sitting, or squatting when picking something up from the ground -the fact that they try to hide them probably adds to the air of secrecy and eroticism. And truthfully, when you do see them, it's usually on accident.
About shimapan, I think it's because they seem a little more childish, which make them cuter. Note that the colours of shimapan are always childish and cute. You never see orange-green ones.
I remember someone saying that the horizontal stripes make the bum look bigger, which is more attractive. I reject that because I'm not at all a big bum lover, but I still like striped panties. Just saying to be inb4 someone advertising that theory.
Please excuse any typos. I'm pretty tired.
