I don't know what he/she is charging concerning them, as I have yet to check on their pricing, but this the artists first attempt...
~ and in the artists comments they state:
"But It was a challange to make them look acceptable. - I hope to get more of them and improve even further."

You may wish to send a (note) and make an enquiry, see what they're asking for and what they're charging.
~ as its a first time, they may be reasonable in price, as they wish to improve on their artwork.
Of course the pricing will be dependant on what the character is and what one desires in its position and look.

I KNOW I don't need to say this... but....
From what I know, the artist is a female, so send a respectful enquiry when you ask and don't be your - "usual self" - when making the request.
I know it might be hard, knowing your nature, but I'm just making sure (because) I'm sure many (myself including) will be making enquiries on costs and such...
Nothing against you Sir, so please don't take it the wrong way (or) anything.
However, just knowing what we all know already - though I'm sure your different whilst attending to such queries and matters.

Yes, I noted that as well...
So, I have made a full request and enquiry concerning her dakimakura's.
The (information) may be different from what she has posted in her journal, which I'm assuming usually happens and maybe just hasn't changed it or updated it yet.
So, I await the a response from her in regards to the dakimakura.
Let's see what the response is and what is brought forth.

Concerning the dakimakura artist, I asked some quest questions...

While looking through DA for Dakimakura artists to place a (possible) commission with, and I saw your creative endeavours with your latest dakimakura piece...

So, a basic enquiry questions and I apologize in advance for all the questions:
1. What is required? - as far resources and references? - how detailed do you need them.
2. What are you charging for such requests?
3. Will the size be equal to an actual dakimakura size or will it depend on the requesting sizing.? -(from small pillow or full size)
4. How ecchi can the image be? - or is there (restraints) on amount of skin to be shown (as well as private areas) of the character?
5. If ecchi is allowed will the requests be along the lines of alluring or full out "H" (Hentai?) or is depending?
6. Will additional charges be placed for the complexity of the character (as well the extras that are placed in the image)? - like accessories and extra items?
7. Whats the duration for creation? - Do you need extra time? or do you go by specific time limits?
I am making this enquiry, as I know several other Friends of mine will be making them as well, but I thought I would (step up) and make the initial needed questions, and then let them decide if they would like one made after I have received all the information.
I shall end my query here and await a response from you whenever you have time to do so.

1. I need a reference of the character in the particular outfit shes going to be drawn in as well as the color or pattern her panties and bra will be. Doesnt have to be too detailed as long as it gets the point across.
2. The Base Price is $80. Charging depends solely on the complexity of the pillow design.
If you want a one sided pillow Base will be $40.
3. Will be actual size4. Since Im just beginning Dakimakura, I will only allow restraints and mild nudity at this time.
5. I Think 4 sums this question up xD
6. Yes, as is pointed out in answer 2 :3
7. As far as time goes, It strictly depends on how many commissions I have and my Actual Job schedule. Though most times I dont take longer than 1-3 weeks to submit a commission.

One side not's so bad - however - with the combined effort of 2-sides, it will be as much a daki its self, however, looking at it from a different POV.
1. YOU may get the original drawing (I should have asked)
2. It will be full sized (front and back) which can be - "handy" - for multiple future projects (even be used a wall hanging/tapestry?)
3. It will be completely different from a market/Official one, as it will be a - "original" - based on your ideas and request.
anyway...
This was a first enquiry, as I am sure there's possibly others that are seeking commissions to create a dakimakura.
Lastly, I am very surprised that with all the - "artists" - we have here (no one) STILL will step up and create one. - even for money, especially when its a easy way to get some extra income.
