1. It wasn't you, okay? So don't think anyone hates you or anything.

So I'll renounce my claim to Tenshi (if even had one). My advice for Giascle: If you're doing this for the benefit of you both then you made the right decision. If she truly is you favorite character and has a special place in your heart like NO OTHER, you don't need to call her your waifu to prove that.

You can claim Tenshi if you want; she doesn't belong to me. I just hope you love her even more than I did (the fact you refer to her as "a favorite" is a big tip-off you don't). But while she is my favorite character ever, I don't love her in the same way I used to, and calling her my waifu would be cruel to her. The word can mean pretty much anything, but to me, it was the girl who made me happy like no one else could, and unfortunately Tenshi no longer fits that role. I could just say my definition of a waifu is "that 2D girl who's really cute while I have a serious relationship," but that's not how I view it and I'd just be lying to the both of us.

And no, you didn't do anything wrong.

3. @Giascle

Although I appreciate you giving your blessings and your response in general. I have to say I failed in proving that I love her more than you did (as a side note: I didn't she did belong to you. I just saying thing how I feel). So, I still renounce my claim to her.

I think it's best for all of us that Tenshi remains unclaimed or at least until someone comes and prove their better love for her. Lets not have any hard feeling or bad impressions over this (I still say to Mere and Veigo or anyone else to not be discourages).

All I can say for you Giascle is: at least it was great for you with Tenshi while it least and you can start anew.

For that, I'll be on my way.

Holy crap. Mere x Giascle ?_?

When the fuk did this happen XD
Wew, are you guys like living close to each other or something for this to even happen? :P
This is very awkward too seeing that I assume that you only met here in sancom -_- (Or not? Were you already acquainted before you met in sancom?)

Anyways, wishing you guys happiness ^^

@Mere
Hmmm... in our defense, it was said that waifus are "ideals". Would it be wrong to have an "ideal" while having a girlfriend? Being in a relationship with someone means that that person fulfilled some part if not all of the ideals you are seeking in a partner right?

And is it not too harsh of you to say that our waifus will not be inclined to love us if they are real?
This is suggesting that we shall not properly behave and court and make them fall in love with us right?
It may seem to you that every other person on the net maybe some kind of "lifeless" loser but this does not hold true in many cases.
As said earlier, waifus are "ideals".

Sorry I'm a bit tactless about this... but yeah... ahehehe sorry for asking but just extremely curiouss >_<

That... or your suggesting you had "pot" sessions with her :P

No, it's not harsh at all. It's realistic.

So it's realistic to assume that waifus become real eh?
Ahehehe, jokes aside.
Ok let's get serious on this discussion shall we :)

How can you even start to assume that a personification of ones waifu will not be able to love one back?

Let's assume a scenario wherein a person in the real world matches your current "ideals" [both mentally and physically (up to a realistic sense of course] ergo waifu. (I'd be inclined to think that is my waifu incarnate :P)

Now, if I approached her with a smile a wave. Day by day just trying to at least give a nod, maybe after a while a conversation can spark.
Wouldn't this be a start to hopefully a blossoming relationship?

I maintain my physical well being, study well, have poise, composure, shows respect and ensues an aura of kindness and honesty.

If this person (me) devotes time and effort in showing this girl(waifu incarnate) that I am willing to devote a portion of my life to her; a portion of my time to her and my love forevermore; Would it not be too much of a stretch that someday, overtime, her heart will melt and her love, our love shall be shared, shall be reciprocated?

I shall await you answer mere ;)

You're already doing it wrong.
In the light novels Nagato was really moved when someone out of the blue declared his love for her.
Thus a straight-forward approach would be much more effective, and it goes without saying she would love Kyon realistically speaking.

No, she's traumatized. Remember the whole "you look like my waifu Yui" incident?

Non me ne frega un cazzo. That's no reason to vent her frustration in this thread. It's clearly aimed at the wrong persons. I'm no god damn fatass creepy husbando who goes around telling girls they look like my waifu.

Tsktsk Ahehehehe, as I remember it, she said "a little bit" when kyon asked "Were you dissapointed to find out that it was fake-ish or something" the love letter I mean :P. She was dissapointed a little bit, but not that much, she was if I may be allowed to interpret it; she was curious.

A build up relationship of giving trust and earning trust is a much better way to move Nagato's heart I would think.
Just look at Kyon and just how much Nagato loves him ;)
