  6. Started out a new pot of stew a couple days ago, which has been simmering on low heat in beef stock and tomato sauce, along with a bunch of spices. mainly to cook the meat, until its ready to start falling apart.... Its just about ready. Next I need to run to the store as I'm short on tomato sauce, celery brussle sprouts and cabages.
Just dumped 3 lbs of half and half peeled and un peeled red potatoes. quarter cut. and 3 lbs. of carrots whole, un peeled - these will break up eventually as they cook through, no neet to cut them.
Added a yellow onion sliced, not minced, this whould cook down by the time the stew is ready.

Heat is still set on low. I like to make stew this way, its next to impossible to fuck it up and nothing gets over cooked.

OHhhh,.... aboot a few hundred months,... why do ya wanna know?

Just had a delightful stew bowl with rice, and a sah'lah'd. Though next tiem I'm going to skip the radishes. They're horrible raw in a sah'lah'd They're much better halved and served in stew - or sliced julien and served in soup to add crispness & texture.

Though Daikon is also better than those little red things.

If unopened 3 to 18 months but once opened it goes bad in about a week.

Fresh made hummus stays good for about a week in thew refrigerator and 2 months in the freezer.
