Gaming Thread (What game or games are you currently hung up on?)

Well, I guess I'm getting one because there's a metric ton of games that I like.

Can get a new one on a discount, for $169.99

I just ran through some pricelists. If you're paying that much for a 1000 series, you would be slightly overpaying. Not exactly a ripoff, but even for a new set, that's still a bit pushing it. Seeing how much you badly want it though, I suppose it's alright.

If you can snag a 16GB memcard for a good deal(you know, them combo purchases), get one. You might not want a lot of digital downloads right now, but you may change your mind once you actually look at the PSN.

New Quest: Win two games with a deck you have no good cards for against opponents who actually pay money for this game (aka a "worthy opponent" lolol)! Again!

I wonder what my W/L rate in this game is. It must be terrible.

Also, wtf is with Warlocks and self-harming? What benefit is there to constantly doing damage to your hero/minions?

    What hero are you using?

I guess you need to just do the daily quests and grind the arena if you don't want to go with the pay2win route.

I'm using Warlock myself. Life tap is the best hero power, drawing cards is really good! I have a board control deck. When you are doing all the attacking the damage you take from life tap is not a big deal. I'm also thinking about doing Murloc Warlock deck :P

I found some nice combo videos on youtube. I wish I could do something like this...
    These are just insane :D

Why do people want to play on EU servers anyway? EU servers are

    TRASH

It's disastrous having to play with all those disgusting South Europeans. They don't know five words of English. Germans are pretty stupid as well. The communication is just awful. It's near impossible. The extra latency you get when playing on NA servers is well worth it when you realise you can actually communicate with people. It's a huge relief.

Communication? What is that? Hearthstone doesn't have communication... Same with Diablo 3. I have joined random teams and there is no chatting. It's all silent. Then there's Starcraft 2 with very little communication. gl hf and gg are the only words you ever need...

Also european servers seem to have more skilled players. At least in Starcraft 2. All the good non Korean starcraft 2 players are europeans. Also european bronze league players are better than NA bronze league players. I did worker rushing and made it to rank 1 silver in NA ladder. I played against really bad players that didn't even know how to attack move. But on EU server I lost more games than I won with worker rushing. It was probably not even worth doing it on EU ladder.

I should also mention the $169.99 price is at a local store; the Walking Dead 8GB bundle to be exact. I don't shop online anymore after several incidences with my debit card.

I don't want to impulse purchase it, but I want to know how far 8GB will do. The homebrew scene is p much struggling with tr PSV, so I have no intentions as using it as an emulating device. I'll only download some small PSN arcade games/minis or whatever, and use the apps.

I only fux with physical games unless it's digital only.

I have mage, hunter, and warlock decks that are all level 11. I haven't tried playing with any of the other heroes yet.

8GB can be enough if you game strictly with physical copies. If you don't subscribe to PSN+(thus not getting the 'free' games), and don't intend to purchase any games off PSN - PSN-only price cuts be damned - then that 8GB will last you for a long time.

Just don't fall for the temptation once you see PSN Store's catalogue. Seriously.

  6. I made a druid deck and my first two games with it went super great. My third game seemed like it was going to be an easy win as well, and I was one turn away from winning with a huge advantage. Then my opponent played a few really good cards that saved him and he then proceeded to shit all over me after that.

    I'm already a PS+ subscriber.

I do selective picking though, because I would rather keep a physical copy unless noted otherwise. Used PSV games = cheap anyways.

Sooooo.... I guess I will invest in a memory card later on.

  8. Suikoden. THE WHOLE FRANCHISE.
I just finished Suikoden I so Imma go for Suikoden II~

I won't use the common lineup that I have for Suikoden II and this is going to be my like 17th replay for this game~

  9. I've been dying to replay the first Suikoden game. I'm too lazy to download an emulator, though.

    Same.

I've been going through the Fire Emblem series, mostly the GBA games. FE6 is so damn cheap. The RNG does whatever it wants. :/

  11. I've avoided the Suikoden games due to the fact there are so many damned characters to collect.
If someone here can sell me on it please try, What's so appealing?

If that's it then I've no interest. Honestly that's one of the things that bothered me about Chrono Cross and I loved that game but, sooo many worthless characters.

It's easy to download an emulator of it. I play mine on my PSP though. <3 (Suikoden 1 and 2).

As for me, not just the characters. The story. Until now, it's still being praised for the story (Suikoden 2, I believe). I highly suggest that you play the game~

I was joking. The real reason I liked it was that it had a really good story, which was something I wasn't used to in games back then. I also became really attached to a few of the characters, and it was probably the first time I've ever been emotionally moved by a character death.

That was 10+ years ago, though, and I don't know if I would still consider the story to be as good now. And I only played the first game, so I have no idea how good the others are.

  16. I see. Story is always top priority. Grandia II, I hated how straight forward it was but the characters, story and gameplay are really what made me love it. It's not one of those RPG's you'll be motivated to play again right after you beat it but a few years down the road you can pop it in and fall in love all over again.

    I need another Dreamcast. -_-

I should try to find mine, and Shenmue.

  18. Finally beat Kingdom Hearts 3D. Fuck that game. The whole game just felt like a damn chore. I spent most of my time stressed out instead of having fun. End-game was the worst as SquareEnix's idea of difficulty is to throw enemies at you with too much health and the inability to stagger.

I think I got an ulcer in Riku's final chapter (which you need to do after Sora's or else the game's Drop mechanic will fuck you up) where it consisted of 2 3-phase boss fights. It was horrible.
