Right now I'm playing Tekken Tag Torney 2, Agarest Senki Mariage and Melty Blood AACC.

I'm going to be picking up doa 5 tomorrow. I hope it's as good as 4. I'm skeptical though.I'm watching a playthrough right now and the story certainly doesn't look as cool as DOA4's.

I'm just a bit nervous because I saw in an early trailer that the grabs, and maybe some other abilities, went into this slow motion thing, similar to the new "Mortal Kombat". I really hope that they either get rid of that or at least give me the option to turn it off. The most important thing to those games, to me, is the flow, and that slo mo thing looks like it'll just fuck that up completely.
No, that's the Power Blow. It's an ability that allows you to lauch your opponent at a specific area in the environment to try to exploit danger zones as much as possible, but it needs to be charged for quite a long time and you can simply guard against it or interrupt it with any attack. You can't use a defensive hold on it though.
I wouldn't say it affects the "flow" of the game any more than falling down a slope does.

Yeah, i don't care much about the story. So that won't bother me. as long as the fighting itself is just as good, i'll be plenty happy.

Okay I've played it for a bit, and I agree, the story is TERRIBLE. It jumps around, is full of cliches, and the acting so melodramatic. I will say the fighting is pretty solid though. It seems to be harder to counter than it was in 4 but i'm not sure that's a bad thing.Posted 7 months ago # -
Harder to counter? I thought they copied the countering mechanics directly from DOA4? I agree on the fighting though. To be honest, I think they didn't change much about the metagame at all. I'm very satisfied with what I've seen so far.

I'm pretty happy with it. Oh, did I mention it looks fuckin' beautiful.
Oh P.S. The boobs are weird, they're way sloshy. like you can get sea sick looking at 'em.

I got the 20th anniversary dream kirby collection 1987 but I can't play it since I can't find the power cord for my wii.

I just got to the Dark Lord in Streetpass Quest II (known as Find Mii in the US I think?). God I love this game.

I've been having more difficulties enjoying games as of late.
I still like gaming with friends, but I can't find the joy in gaming alone like I used to. Why did I buy all this rig.. >_>Posted 7 months ago # -
It's been the same for me. I usually have the most fun playing games whenever I play with friends. Although the games I can enjoy with other people are kinda limited.

It varies for me. RPG's (dangerously addictive) I can enjoy by myself. Try
playing Mario Party by your self though and see what happens. Not fun.Posted 7 months ago # -
Well I bought GW2 with the Pre-Release. And I was able to throw in a lot of hours already. But having 2 max lvls already, and not enough high end content starts to make the game boring. Enough dungeons okay, but I tend to do dungeons with friends and skype. But everybody starts getting less active already, so it's pretty hard to not feel bored already.
But meh. It might be wise to start gaming less.Posted 7 months ago # -

2. You played videogames too much already, you burned out. Either you go find a new hobby for a while, or you try to branch out towards genres you don't normally play.
As for myself, I dumped PSO2 for over 10 weeks and now it's a drag just to log in. I guess I just can't stand MMO-like grinding requirements after all. Block 20 and other regular gaijin haunts are also no longer as lively as they used to, in a creepy sort of way, since SEGA threatened to kickban anyone they acknowledge as non-Japanese.
Back to SSFIV for me then...

Maybe, maybe not. A new hobby sounds like a good idea, though my hobbies are always expensive. Games, gadgets, HiFi, painting. I also played enough offline games, so I don't really think that's the cause.
I wish I could make studying into a hobby.Posted 7 months ago # -
