Dark Souls is... cruel...
I finished Devil May Cry 4 on Legendary Dark Knight mode because it was my choice, and I had the opportunity to play the game in easier modes before. Dark Souls however feels like it kicks my ass off the cliff whenever I think I had made it, and knocks the ladder off into my face as an extra. And I'm still in Undead Borg.

haha yeah, i'm playing that too. I like that most of the time it doesn't feel like the game is cheating. It's like either you're just too weak to fight a boss or you made a mistake and got fucked, but none of the bosses seem impossible, just really fuckin' hard.

Apparently, power-leveling doesn't really do much in this game; you'll also need to plan REALLY HARD and figure out your specific course of action.
...The thing is, you either die 100 times before you finally figure it out, or you look at FAQs from other people. Things would be much different if I was still in college, but I'm a busy man so I have to do the latter...

ha yeah, there's only been 1 time where i had to look it up online, and it wasn't even a boss, it was just because i didn't know where to go. If there's any problem i have with the game is that the beginning of the game doesn't make it entirely obvious what you're supposed to be doing. As for the bosses, mostly I just treated them like Ganon at the end of ocarina and just kept rolling under their legs, since most of them are giant.
I did find that leveling is mostly useless for being stronger, it's mostly the gear you have.
