Set the difficulty on Easy, Nefly. Do yourself a favor.
Either that, or save REALLY often.

It doesn't seem like my type of game to play, but maybe when I get bored of World of warcraft I may just try it out, maybe.
So I received DOAD in the mail yesterday and after clearing Chronicle mode and practising some in Survival and Arcade modes, I decided to try fighting online. I was off to a great start, not only winning my first match but actually managing a 6-win streak right off the bat. After that, I didn't win a single match. I've now won 6/40 matches, and I've been reduced to 0 points and just can't get out of this losing streak. I'm frustrated beyond salvation. (Fuck Hayabusa players. Hayabusa is too hard to beat.)
Next week is the European release of Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise. I can't wait.

This happens to all average-skilled casual fighting game players the first time they jump into online. You'll be better if you persist and learn... or just repeatedly switch characters until you find one that gives you most wins.
PROTIP: Chances are that character might NOT be your personal favorite. Take it from a regular.
Alrighto, I suppose you're right. I'll just have to switch around a bit. Maybe I should just play offline a lot more though. Right now there are only two characters of whose movesets I have a good understanding.
I haven't played DOAD yet, but I'd imagine that the easy cahracters are still easy.
Just play more Kasumi, Hitomi, Zach (assuming you dont wanna playb Hyabusa)- you'll get it sorted out.
Isn't the DOAD metagame exactly the same as DOA4's? Okay, I'll try Kasumi, Hitomi and Zack. C: Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't metagame, we've established this
Here's a question for experienced DOA players.
Does Hayabusa have a 90/10 matchup against Jann Lee or something? An awful lot of players switch to Hayabusa as soon as they see I choose Jann Lee. I've started playing Ayane against them now.
I wouldn't be too sure, I know Jan Lee can counter the shit out of characters that require space, as a lot of his single hits can penatrate the zone during an enemies advance. Most of Hyabusa's attacks (the ones that lead into the best combos that is) either follow a similar model, or are up close light attacks that lead into a heavy attack. Ayane's mobility makes her a good response to this, as she can feing an advance and jump out before the Hyabusa can launch his attack, this usually results in a punishing kick i.e.: (from player 1 side
[back facing opponent]4+F+K, K, 2+K or 7+K
F+P, 236K, 4+F+P, 9+K (this one takes time and could prove risky), or 6+k-2+K combo
I heard that Hyabusa has a ranged attack now, so the fake advance strategy might not work anymore, but this is usually how I deal with Hyabus, Jan Lees, and Kasumis.
That feel when I can beat Hayabusa on "true warrior" mode but not online against F-ranked players...

Wait, what do you mean by "penetrating the zone"? As in, hitting while your opponent's move is still in the initial stage? This is what I've been using against Alpha-152, yeah.

Yeah, that's what has been getting me. Those F-ranked players use one move with big knockback and then continue to fire projectiles at you. It's a pain to close the distance because dodging those beams requires a ←F (or is there another way?), thus stopping you mid-run.
Guys, any Jrpg recommendation? i'm starving '_'
