Quick question for all those god of war owners, is it mandatory to have played God of war 1 and 2 in order to play 3, or can I just skip em both and go straight to 3 without committing some kind of blasphemy?

I've yet to play 3, but I loved the first two and would definitely recommend you play them before starting 3. The games follow a story as well, so you won't get the full enjoyment out of 3 if you don't play 1 and 2 first. Plus, 2 ended on a cliff hanger, which is where I'm assuming 3 begins from.

Getting back into playing Fate/Extra. Gonna beat it pretty soon. Honestly, a really sucky game. The story is subpar. The combat is entertaining, but if the story fails in an rpg, everything else just crumples. Gonna finish it anyway.
Beat Medal of Honor a second time. This time on Hard difficulty.
I really wanna play Ghost Recon Future Soldier now.Tried playing Dead Space, but after 10 minutes in, I was already screaming and my nerves were shot. I'm really interested in the story and I wanna keep playing more, but I don't handle horror of any sort very well. I'll try to play again, but if I'm closing my eyes, I can't shoot properly.
Also, found out I can play with my leveled up character in Mass Effect 1. So I restarted the first ME with my lvl40 Shepherd. Don't really know how much I'll play, but I just had the urge to play a little.

Of course it's not, it's a shooter not a horror.
You can't really be scared of the same few monster types you end up mutilating in hundreds throughout the game.
At a certain point you just go "Oh, it's this guy again".
This is especially true for the second game.I think I only got scared two times in Dead Space, not even trolling.
Once when I tried to approach a box to open it like many beforehand and it opened by itself when I got close and the second time when that tentacle thing grabs your leg for the first time but that was more of a jump scare.Try playing something that's actually at least somewhat scary next time motaku, like... I dunno Silent Hill 1 and 2 or Fatal Frame for example.

I didn't finish it, but the only part that scared me in Dead Space was at the very beginning when you're in an elevator and a necromorph gets through the door. It had just been a cutscene up to that point, but all of the sudden it actually hurt me.

Ps2, ps1 horror game...i think those are pale incomparison with Wii
The real horror game are those release for Wii...just go youtube and look around, the use of motion control were nice addition toward the horror theme (too bad none of those being ported in US).
Horror game is probably the only game that suffer the most when the game in HD/great graphic like PS3/360....if everything were so vivid, nothing is scary anymore, let the bad pixel expand our imagination.
