WARNING! RANT MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
Legend of Dragoon = Medieval Power Rangers
The game's weird. You have near unlimited space for equipment, but you only have 32 Goddamn slots for potions. FUCKING. POTIONS. And no, not 32 different types of potions, but JUST ONE FOR EVERY SLOT. It felt so arbitrary that it pissed me off for the first 2 discs back then.
If you liked Shadow Hearts, then maybe you'd like LoD's timed button presses for attacks, but since you can only set one type in one battle, shit got repetitive REAL QUICK for me. In fact, I quit halfway through disc 4(IIRC, it was after Dart found out that the Black Monster is Rose).
I'm not saying the game's bad as a whole; you guys are about to play them waaaaaay past their prime years with the cheapest price so I suppose you'd only get more value than I did when I bought it for PSX on launch. I just find it odd that suddenly a lot of recent players are actually RECOMMENDING IT on the same level as, say, Suikoden II or even the holy FFVII. I remember reading magazines' and Gamefaqs' players' reviews on the game back then and I saw mostly 6/10, and 7/10 to a lesser degree. Then I tried playing it again two years ago and I still think it doesn't deserve a higher score.
