There's no stupid mundane bar that shows your moral alignment, you just make the choices you want to
Much more varied dialogue choices than the mass effect dialogue wheel
    5x larger than mass effect
can talk to your party members at any time, have to actually build relationships with them to get them to like you
your choices actually greatly affect the outcome of the game
the world is rich and developed

    Sounds awesome =O

It's a shame it changes your avatars retroactively, or you choose a Yui to fit each post.

I'm still pretty early in the game (just starting the thieves guild quests), so hopefully it gets better. I'm playing as an Imperial thief/assassin type, since that's what I was in Oblivion. I'm playing casually so no specific build in particular.

I hope you end up enjoying it more. I really love the game, but I'm still undecided whether or not I like it more than Oblivion... There are definitely trade-offs, but in my head, I feel what I loved about Oblivion (Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood) makes it slightly better than Skyrim.

I hope I do, too! Oblivion's one of my favorite games, so I'm not going to give up on Skyrim until I finish it.

  8. It's kind of fun being an outlaw in Tera :D

  10. Got Legend Of Dragoon PS1 DL version for free since I'm on PS Plus.

Been wanting to try the game for years but I couldn't find a halfway decent JP copy.

Shame I won't be able to do the Pocketstation minigame because the PS3 doesn't allow for it, but then again I'm not too keen on erasing the PokeRock2 game to make room for it anyway.

    WARNING! RANT MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!

Legend of Dragoon = Medieval Power Rangers

The game's weird. You have near unlimited space for equipment, but you only have 32 Goddamn slots for potions. FUCKING. POTIONS. And no, not 32 different types of potions, but JUST ONE FOR EVERY SLOT. It felt so arbitrary that it pissed me off for the first 2 discs back then.

If you liked Shadow Hearts, then maybe you'd like LoD's timed button presses for attacks, but since you can only set one type in one battle, shit got repetitive REAL QUICK for me. In fact, I quit halfway through disc 4(IIRC, it was after Dart found out that the Black Monster is Rose).

I'm not saying the game's bad as a whole; you guys are about to play them waaaaaay past their prime years with the cheapest price so I suppose you'd only get more value than I did when I bought it for PSX on launch. I just find it odd that suddenly a lot of recent players are actually RECOMMENDING IT on the same level as, say, Suikoden II or even the holy FFVII. I remember reading magazines' and Gamefaqs' players' reviews on the game back then and I saw mostly 6/10, and 7/10 to a lesser degree. Then I tried playing it again two years ago and I still think it doesn't deserve a higher score.

  13. Moved on from Cybernations to Project Terra. It's a more realistic nation simulator but still at alpha stage

My friend said "It's just a PS Final Fantasy style Dragon Quest title. DQ for mainly adults".

I don't know how to take that. Did we get Chrono Cross yet? I brought CC like 3 times. My first disc kept breaking. Last summer I speed ran it, I did first disc in like 9 hrs. Love that game.

Mmyup, got mine for free though.

I've owned a PS1 since forever (still do, got a used NTSC/J unit last year) so I pretty much know what I'm up against. I've been through lots of other RPGs with ambiguous skill growth rates, unreasonable EXP numbers and other ridiculously fucked-up mechanics that were only done for the sake of prolonging the playtime.

I'm just miffed that I can't try the Pocketstation game for it (JP version has one, but a DL for exclusive PS3/PSP use can't make the transfer). Did the ones for Rockman 2, FF8 and Justice Gakuen and I had lots of crazy fun with them during idle times or when I'm not at home.

On an unrelated note, DLed Fighting Yuna a while back. It's a simple erotic game, but I have yet to make it past Stage 2 because I can't fight the urge to have the whip-wielding enemy femdom go yuri on Yuna.

  17. Legend of Dragoon was good for no real reason, like most JRPGS.
The soundtrack was mediocre, the dialogue was bland and predictable, the game play was repetitive (duh), and it kind of got annoying at times.
I did enjoy the lore though, despite it's 'not so great' quality; it's a childhood favourite of mine.

shit got fucky for a while so I haven't been online, never got to play TERA- so I've been playing through Sly Cooper again. This time though, I'm actually getting all of the clues- I was too lazy to do so back in the day. Makes the game a hell of a lot easier.

  18. Super Robot Wars 2 - Rebirth Chapter

Love playing "Zero" from Code Geas. I love his evil laugh.

Found out the voice actor is the same a Toga from Gravion. The world is full of surprises.
