Healing is quite different from other MMO's though, not so much stare at the gui based.

Gameplay is great, quests are so much more fun than the Tera ones imo. So much humor and sillyness, Tera has a few gems such as the bomb training NPC shouting in ALL CAPS but most of it is all the same and the different races have no individuality. For example the castanics are supposed to be hotheads, I was expecting short fused inspired quests from them.
In WoW the races really have their own different customs. The trolls will send you headhunting while the Goblins will have you running around in some robot. Different accents add to the game as well.
The art.. yeah well, it's WC3 but then in third person and running on an engine that's been around for quite a while now.Vegio said:

Best thing about it imo, I did raid like that for about 3 years straight. It's great because you spend so much time together with those people you really get to know them. You're all working towards the same goal and try to teach each other what the best way to fight (or heal) in a certain encounter is.
When I was raiding we had a different channel for every class to share tips while discussing the more global things on Ventrilo or teamspeak.. or just having fun if the stuff was boring.You do need rules though, if you're a few minutes late then that used to mean 39 people might be sitting around doing nothing. Logical that you get punished for such behaviour to be honest, you need to be able to rely on each other.
Kinda miss those days, don't have that much free time anymore, spending 6 hours a day raiding and then you'd still have to farm gold to cover the repairs/herbs.. was such a huge time sink haha.Posted 1 year ago # -

I ran a guild in TBC. We were 15 people, so we could only do Karazhan. It was a group of friends, and even then more often than not they didn't really care for the group, so a few guys and me had to switch roles frequently or adapt to different kind of tactics and formations. It was hard, but being able to go on and conquering the places was totally worth it. The thing is we only raided twice a week. Of course it wasn't a hardcore setting, but we had fun and progressed as far as we could.
Those vanilla times with 40 people required to be online were terrible! When you don't live alone on your own and you need to adjust your schedule to others you can't solely focus on the game, and that meant to be cut off. It was really too nerdy, and even though at the time I was totally into raiding, well... I'm glad I got out of it. Nothing but a drug, too much stress, too much competition and too many rules to try to organize such a big thing.
I prefer more relaxed settings. Not all days, just once or twice a week. Of course when you show up, I expect you to be at your 100% and to be serious about it, even if it's a game - because other people's enjoyment depend on your performance, so you have some kind of... duty. It's not something you can keep doing for long though. 3 years? That's really weird!

I'm considering buying MW3 since it's on sale. I kinda enjoy the multiplayer despite the lag and the fact that I suck. I also don't have the patience to learn how to play.
Actually maybe I should just play killzone 3 instead...

I tried playing Tera last night, but I was having a terrible time concentrating. I couldn't stop thinking about how I've still got tons of homework to finish. After completing a few missions and leveling up, I decided to stop playing, and start working on one of my effective speaking assignments. Why must the servers open up again on the same weekend that I have a lot homework for all my classes (probably the first time this semester that this was the case)? And I've been wanting to play Tera so badly this last week ;-;
Though I still played a few games of LoL with Homu sometime after that without feeling distracted >_>
