    With speed boost, yes.

Didn't Blaziken get banned for a while? (As in, moved to Uber?) What's it in now? OU or Uber?

  4. I restarted my file in Sapphire after I saw Blaziken first appear in the anime. It was so cool that I just had to have one!

I think that out of all the fire starters, Charizard is my favorite, with Blaziken being a very close second.

Emboar sounds like he'd do good with a Trick Room setup. I'd pair him with Bronzong, maybe.

He's pretty good in trick room. He can punch holes in to everything. He's just hard to switch in sometimes.

Blaziken has high special attack and Attack. When you see an Infernape you know it might have a tech overheat or grassknot, but it hits physical because that's it's role. Blaziken is a clusterfuck. If Blaziken comes in, you start panicking. You don't know what the fuck this thing has. He can me Jolly and still have 300+ Attack or special attack. You don't know if you are going to take a Sky uppercut or Focus blast. A Flare Blitz or a Fire Blast. All you know is that it's going to hurt, and that at the end of the turn, because of speed boost- he is going to be fast than you.

Dude even has Mirror move. Say you have the ghost/water pokemon Jellicent and another ghost or even just the opponent Jellicent has shadow ball to avoid being walled in a mirror match with Water Absorb- you can switch Blaziken and eat the Shadow ball. Mirror move for knock out and get the speed boost. Opponent brings in another pokemon, He has some heavy predicting to do. Blaziken is now 412 in speed now- Blaziken can switch to Jellicent in case you do a water move, Blaziken more than likely has a move that will hurt the opponent's pkmn and of unknown variety. He only mirror move'd, you still don't know where his EV spread is at this point. All you know is that he's going to hurt you this turn.

Has Shadow claw for Psychic/Ghost - but there is nothing Psychic or Ghost outside of Speed Deoxys naturally faster than him at 412. He can just protect and go to 564 spd and beat every scarfed pokemon you can through at him aside from a scarfed Mewtwo and Speed Deoxys.

Stone Edge - Catches those Flash fire pokes predicting a Flare Blitz, 1 or 2hko any of flying pokemon. If you already have stealth rock up- will definitely 1hko any flying/dragon. It's safer to do than a fighting move if there is an active bulky water that will die regardless of what attack you do. If they switch into a water, ghost, fire, flying or dragon expecting a Flare Blitz or Sky Upper/High Jump kick, you just put a big dent in something that wasn't supposed to get touched. You'll kill it next turn too.

Earthquake - it is only good on the rare water/electric; the only one used is Electross and he has levitate like a boss. Steel loses to Flare Blitz and Sky Upper, same with rock and ice for the latter. It's still there though.

Brave bird - It's unnecessary as rock & steel resist it and grass & bug are already weak against fire, but he has the option.

Solarbeam - Waters are upset about this too.

I think you guys get the point. The most effective sets for Blaziken are all physical but he has the options. He's banned on smogon.

Man, you're totally pro in the Gen V competitive field. I'm going to have a hard time playing against you in summer.

  7. Nah, I'm still pretty inexperienced. I can make sense of a lot of things in this game quickly though. Also, I don't get caught up on being a original so much anymore, and I've gotten a lot more originality out doing that. I just try things I think will work and not so much trying things that are different from others teams. I played Venomoth for a while for Quiver Dance baton pass and access to sleep powder, I learned that it is only good on slow waters and pure fighting types. I decided it would be best to get rid of it as it was too much of a hindrance on my team.

I also forgot to mentioned the imfamous Washing Machine Rotom. He also has levitate and is Electric/Water. He is too good. I hate him.

Yeah, but even if you're inexperienced, you sure know what to expect when you see what pokémon your opponent switches in. I have no idea what movesets are popular on the Gen V pokémon, so I'll probably feel pretty lost when seeing a Cofagrigus appear, for example.

  10. So I have been playing some more Black.
took me forever, but I finally droped the 3 audinos team.
My current team is weak as fuck!
Maractus, joltick, Whimsicott, Audino, Dwebble, and a sandile
I'll only allow the dwebble to evolve, cuz I like crustle. basically every type but water wreck my team's day- if this game didn't baby the player so much, I would have lost a battle or 2 by now.

I refuse to keep up with metagame, I prefer gimmick teams that revolve around pokemon I like. I don't win often, but when I do; it feels good.
I love making full shiny/uber n00bz RQ when I trick the items out of their walls and sweepers. but if they're too stupid to RQ I end up loosing- I don't know what gen 4&5 legionaries are weak against. I just guss... incorrectly.

I haven't kept up with the TCG for ages (actually I've never kept up with it, but I played it as a kid and only understood the basics), but that card looks beautiful. Did you get it at an event?

Pre-release for the newest set. That card is an $80 bill.

  15. I got the alt-art Zhekram and Reshiram if anyone wants to make a trade for a victini or Whimisicott. Hell; I might even drop em for energy cards- the only reason I haven't traded them yet, is that nobody plays pokemon TCG where I'm from.

  16. I'm getting re-obsessed with pokemon again, and

I really want them to put in trainer customization, so I can feel more part of the pokeworld :)
