I've been playing bloody platinum and so far I'm very satisfied with it (I've got 5 badges at the moment). If only game freak would make a pokemon game like this.

well ku some suspect the old man in pokemon coliseum is ash seeing as he said his first pokemon is the pikachu he still has and he seems to be very well first in legendary pokemon and lets face it ash has seen more legendaries than some real world players.

What? (O________o) That's not true. The only secret there is to hatching shinies is having a pokemon from a foreign country breed with one from your own. It'll increase the chance of hatching a shiny from 1/8000 to approximately 1/2000.
@Arie: I'm still sorry about both disconnects we've had so far! D: Where I was sitting, I don't have a very good signal. Next time we battle, I'll sit downstairs, so I have a strong signal. Disconnecting won't happen again. C:

Yeah, I play the rules as standard as they go. C: (Even though I don't remember them all clearly. XD)
Correct me if I'm wrong:
-No two pokemon of the same species on one team (numbers of the National Dex define species)
-No duplicate items (I know some people play with some exceptions to this, such as double leftovers and such. Please update me on this. C:)
-No two pokemon on one team can be asleep at the same time. Self induced sleep is excepted
-No pokemon in the Uber tier can be used
-Moves that enhance evasion are not allowedThat's all I remember when it comes to standard rules. C: Am I forgetting some?

Besides OHKO moves and freeze clause you pretty much covered all the

Oh yeah, OHKO moves are banned of course. I can't believe I forgot that. The freeze clause though..? I didn't think that was actually used? I mean, freezing is a side-effect of some ice- and normal-type moves, rather than an effect inflicted directly by a move. (In other words, no moves have the single purpose of inflicting freeze on another pokemon. Freeze always happens by chance.) And to ban all ice-type moves as soon as one of your opponent's pokemon is frozen is quite a drastic measure.
I'm not complaining though. C: The freeze clause would actually be in my favour because I don't carry any ice-type moves on my current team. So it's up to you, do we use the freeze clause? C:

Damn glad i don't play online that many rules just screams maddening. I mean they put those mechanics in for a reason ya know and i'd rather be able to do whatever battle wise should i so choose. I have the same beef with say fighting game tournaments saying things like well since he's so strong you can't use him it gives an unfair advantage i mean WTF he's in the game and if they can't beat him then it's their loss. Course it could also just be my overall hatred of limitations affecting my view but i think it still wouldn't make sense even the most broken character can be beaten with enough training or skill provided cheats aren't being used. No wonder we pretty much always get our asses kicked by koreans and japanese fellas.

D'aww. Dun be so hateful, Sorri. C: You're absolutely right that the creators put all those possibilities in, so technically speaking, you should be able to just use them all. But the developers only have so much time to test their games. These user-made rules are like a finishing touch to their testing. The developers do their best to create a game that's as balanced as possible, but they can't always do that perfectly. The extra rules have been made up over years of experience and add that extra bit of balance the game needs. C:

We'll i've heard that karas from the japanese tatsunoko vs capcom was broken beyond all get out until you learned his 1 weakness and that when they tweaked him to be more balanced for the u.s. version they then made him almost powerless against those who knew the trick and he became near useless. So that isn't always the case. If you know the opponents weakness and yes even broken characters have them then you can win. As i said enough training skill and i probably should have had knowledge in there makes more of a difference than almost anything else.
and to lone wolf yeah i know but these rules are just a pet peeve of mine i've always been a bit unstable about excessive rules. Even as a kid limitations just caused worse behavior.

MamoswineInteresting team, Ku. Three NU pokemon and three OU. I like that. =D Personally, I don't have a fixed team, but the pokemon I currently have all trained up with the right movesets, items and stats are Steelix, Torterra, Miltank, Latias, Porygon-Z, Cacturne, Slaking, Crobat, Gallade, Togekiss, Bronzong and two Snorlax. I think that's it. Once I have HG, I think I'll start working on a Starmie, Blissey and maybe Skarmory. C:
I've always had so much trouble against Scizor though. (=n=) Whenever I encounter a team that has Scizor on it, I always get DECIMATED. That's why I made that Steelix as a counter.

I have pokemon pearl. I'll have to find my ds though... and make a new team. I had a team of Absol, Lapras, Sceptile, Torkoal, Dusclops and Magnezone. I specially bred EV trained them and when I got them to level 70 I used an IV calculator. Turns out none of them have any IV's in any stat above 20 :(
