I really like Jigokuren, the setting is just awesome.

She's just about as miserable and pitiable as you can get in every way, yet tries so hard that it's really cute at best or at least incredibly hilarious.
I heartily recommend this to everybody who liked NHK, Oreimo or similar.

tried reading Kenshin, lately. I reached chapter 74 after a friend suggested to read it because it's cool and stuff and the movie's coming out in december and omg omg etc. Still, it's not that great, isn't it? Seems like it's made for teen girls, hmm.

I only watched the Kenshin animu, but I never finished it. I stopped somewhere in the filler seasons after the Kyoto arc.
However, I did read the last chapter of the manga, since I didn't like the sad ending of the OVAs. I thought that was a much better ending, though it still wasn't that great IMO.

I just finished reading World War Z by Max Brooks. Awesome book that I readily encourage everyone to read. (basically, if you have ever watched a zombie movie by choice, you should read this book).
I think it's also available a an audiobook.
