Actually, I think caps are kind of distracting and they make me want to just skip the text. Well, anyways you seriously need to keep your cool, if you want to lead this project. You seemed to understand, but please also keep this in mind in future.
I'm good at organizing, but I don't have enough time for something like this.

To tell you the truth, I haven't believed this project would be successful for a second. You guys have a great imagination, but you lack enough people with the sufficient skills to pull off something like a VN. So rather than try aiming too high, I've thought of some easier projects you can do.
A fanfiction w/ illustrations - A few artists to lend their artistic talents, and someone to write a good story. And ideas can come from everyone. A doujin is possible too but that would require a lot of time on the artists part, and you wouldn't be able to use different artists because of their vastly different styles. However, with side illustrations in a fanfic, you can use lots of different styles and the work is shared more evenly with everyone. Only a capable, skilled writer would be needed.
An Abridged series - Overdone but you can still have fun doing it. You can do whatever series you want and incorporate your own personae into the character's dialogue. Everyone can voice different characters. Who knows, you might even make someone lol.
These should be doable with a minimal amount of resources and experience. A lot of people do this stuff single-handedly so you should be able to manage. Also, you should remember one of your greatest strengths, you guys are made up of people from different countries around the world. Multilingual work should be a piece of cake.

I will admit that programming a vn is easier than programming most other types of games, but it's far from simple to make any sort of game. Do you even have any experience or idea on how it works? The coding that goes into it? Or are you delegating that responsibility to someone else. Anyway, by all means, feel free to prove me wrong. I would be interested in seeing something come of this.

Im not the programmer but i do know of some simple vns and stuff and know its not easy to make those but neither is it hard. By simple vns i mean short and with little to no choices. But am not an expert i might be wrong

Oh please. You can make a VN in powerpoint. They are just that fucking simple.

Sounds like a light novel.
I still think it would be a good idea to do a visual novel but we could do some light novels as well to tide people over until the visual novel is finished. We could actually put out quite a few different light novels considering how many possible writers and artists we have.Posted 6 years ago #
