  3. My Grado SR60is broke a long time ago, and I was going to buy a new pair of better Grado headphones, but first I decided to look into these at Guitar Center. I tried them on and listened to one of my favorite songs for about 30 seconds, and knew I had to get them.

    New heads...

Audiotechnica's are pretty good but how much did you end up paying for em? Denon 2000s seem to be the best choice under $500, though I'm not complaining about my AKG HD 272Ks.

Retail price is $159, but I got them for $50 off! They're known as the best in the price range, and Head-Fi ranks them as the 3rd-best pair of headphones, period.

  12. Audio-Technica ATH-M50S actually rank no2, in Over-ear list from Head-Fi...
pretty awesome...but i guess you can always make it sound better with extra amp

  13. Good pick up for ~$100. Depending on device, I prefer (or can't afford) non-driven heads.

Also, where did you get'em for that cheap? I wouldn't mind a new pair.

  14. I got them at Guitar Center (only in the U.S., I believe), but they match prices if you can find better elsewhere. I showed them that the headphones go for $110 on Amazon, and the cashier said, "Well, good enough for me."

  15. Well...

As I was rotating my figure stock, I decided to take a - "re-pic" - of one of the first few purchases from long ago...

I am a fan of - 'The Diry Pair' (original and films) - and the subsequent series....

    From the 1980's -

First English Edition: 1987 - ISBN 4-06-186030-5 - cover missing
I (also) have the Japanese version - 'Dirty Pair No Daiboken' 1980

and from the - Dark Horse comic HARDCOVER Collective renditions - from the 1980's, which (unfortunately) were damaged through the years - however - I did managed to save the signed artist signatures and drawings...

one can see the water damage done to the paper..

From afterwards... the figures, which are NOT PVC type, and have the pegs (in order) to set them onto the stands...

Vintage, that's awesome! I don't think I have any collectibles that goes that far back.

  17. The extent of water damage done to the second signatures...

At the time, I tried to get this repaired - however - it may not be possible (or could be) too extensive of a cost/repair in (using today's means)

I just wanted to post this, to show that mistakes are made, thus the reason, I always rotate my stock of figures/collectives, ever since.

    ======

    hahaha... NO!

This was due to improper storage, as one of my containers somehow (leaked) and rain/moisture managed to raid the books...

However, I do have all the original Dark Horse comic Editions, which were stored separately from the hard-cover editions.

The HC's took the brunt of the damage, as everything else was (safe), that was stored in that particular container.
