  1. but that expectation and familiarity is the point of the argument. THAT's why I was drawing mine from right to left. not because i feel that manga is japanese so i have to do things the japanese way or anything like that. it's simply because that's what people expect and i don't want readers to have even the slightest difficulty getting into my comic. not for something like that anyway.

you can give all the examples you want but it still doesn't change what people expect from manga.

People expect non Japanese stuff to read left to right. And your comic doesn't look like a manga. It looks like someone attempting to draw manga but unable to do so, meaning they are expecting it to read left to right.

I'm not being a cunt. I'm telling him how to get more readers and respect from his artwork instead of acting like a weeaboo. He's posting on this thread to learn how to get better and we're all telling him how to in a really easy step.

it's all part of the same conversation though.

@peter. the overall message of what you've said is fine but the way you say it ins't exactly tactful, so it comes off sounding, well, cuntish.

But yeah, if your native language is English and you are making your comics read "Manga style", you are making sure to get a huge population of potential reads to not read it because it's assumed that your story is going to be just a rip off of anime you watch and completely unoriginal.

Regardless of my opinion on making comics read left-to-right or right-to-left,

the people who would refuse to read an western-made comic because it reads right-to-left are the biggest faggots.

    Also, an attempt at foreshortening.

I want to know the full history of the goofy eyed sheep. Was it's parents abusive? Is it intelligent or mentally handicapped? What does it want to do with its life?

    The Story of Daisey.

    Daisey Learns About The Shepherdess.

Daisey was a young ewe who lived in a meadow on the sunny side of the big valley with her flock. They were cared for by the Shepherdess, a young human female, who talked with them, lead them to food and water and lead them to shelter when the weather was bad.

As Daisey grew older, she slowly realized something wasn't quite right. Although she hadn't seen many other humans, none of them could talk with her or the other sheep. Also, none of the humans had horns like her mistress, the Shepherdess. Plus, the Shepherdess seemed so sad most of the time. She realized the only times she had seen the Shepherdess happy was those rare occasions, every three or four weeks, when the Shepherdess would go into the woods with one or two of the slightly older ewes. They would come back, after an hour or two, the Shepherdess flush-faced, smiling and laughing, the ewes gamboling around her feet. It began to worry her, so much so that she finally had to find out what was wrong. She decided to find her best friend, Flo, and ask her.

Daisey ran across the meadow, looking for Flo. After a few minutes she saw her, slowly grazing in a patch of especially green grass.

"Flo, Flo! There you are. I've been looking for you!"

"Daisey, what is it? Is something wrong?"

"No,no, I just wanted to ask you some questions."

    "About what?"

"The Shepherdess. Like how can she talk with us, why she has horns, why is she so sad, why does she go into the woods with..."

"Daisey, Daisey! Slow down. I think I know what you want to know, but it's a long story. Let's go to that tree and rest in the shade."

After they settled down, Flo began to speak. "You couldn't know this, but the mistress' family is very poor. That's why they could only send her out to tend to our flock. It was very hard work. She thought if she could talk to us, and us to her, it might be a little easier. Have you heard of" here Flo dropped her voice almost to a whisper, "the Witch Over The Hill?"

"Oh yes" cried Daisey with a shiver. "When we where little they told us stories of her. We were all terrified of her."

"As well you should be," continued Flo. "Even the adults are scared of her. Well, our mistress thought maybe she could get a potion or spell from the witch that would let her talk to us, and us to her. She did, but what she didn't know was that the witch had a terrible grudge against our mistress' family. Years ago her father had done something to offend the witch. Even though he apologized and paid her money, the witch never gave up her grudge. So when our mistress asked for the potion, the witch decide to take her revenge. The potion let her talk with us, but it also changed her physically."

"That's how she got the horns!" exclaimed Daisey.

"Yes," said Flo, "but that wasn't all. The witch must have realized that the horns could be removed, so she also made our mistress what some humans call a futanari."

    "A fu-what?"

"A futanari. That's when somebody has both..." here Flo drew closer to Daisey and whispered in her ear. Daisey eyes grew as large as saucers. "So the witch made sure that a human male would never want our mistress as a mate."

"Oh how terrible for her," said Daisey. "But, what about the times she's happy?"

"Well, the elders decided that our mistress being sad all the time wasn't good for the flock, so they found a way to give her physical pleasure. They asked some ewes to volunteer to go into the woods with her, and let her..." here Flo whispered in Daiseys ear again. Daiseys eyes grew as big as dinner plates. If she could have blushed, she would have been as red as the sweet red berries that grew in the spring.

"I-I-I could never do that! Not with the mistress!" cried Daisey.

"Well, someday you'll do it with a nice handsome young ram," replied Flo.

"Y-Yes," said Daisey "but not the mistress!"

"Oh, look at the sun, it'll set soon," exclaimed Flo. "If we want something to eat before going to sleep, we'd better hurry! Have I answered all your questions?"

"Y-Yes," replied Daisey, now uncertain whether she really wanted to know what she now knew. "Let's go."

As they walked back to the green grass, Daisey thought to herself "I hope the Shepherdess doesn't want to do that with me! If she starts acting funny, I-I-I'll run away!"

Daisey decided then and there to keep an eye on the Shepherdess, her mistress. But as time went by, and Daisey grew older and got to know the Shepherdess better, her heart softened. Many times, late at night, she would awaken drowsily from a pleasant dream, often of her and her mistress, and murmur softly to herself "I wish, I wish I could make her happy, if only for a little while."

  12. Aneko, Sutefuwani, I thank you both for enjoying my story.

I now know, slightly, what people mean when they say they were "struck by inspiration."

Eh, I'll never do anything with her, so sure.

She gets amnesia after she dies and spends a lot of time thinking she was a girl she saw in a yearbook, because she got a weird feeling when she looked at her picture. But she actually murdered the girl in the picture and then killed herself. When she was alive her parents severely abused her and over time it made her mentally unstable.
