The thing about them that I realy can't stand (other than their music) is that they were touring with some of my favorite bands. I guess I can see the relationship between them and alkaline trio, but still.

Way to derail with shitty bands(except for cream though).
I found this really old sketch. I drew this back when I was heavily into Street Fight Alpha 2. I really loved Sakura back then.
It looks off on some aspects, especially the skirt and I think I had wanted to draw Ayane from Dead or Alive when I started this. Would look like her if you replace the headband. lol

While most of you seem to progress well in here I feel like I'm progressing backwards lately.
You all make me feel like I'm not putting away any time to train at all.
There are allot of rather nice pieces posted here lately though so I guess a lack of my rather lackluster attempts have gone unnoticed~I might attempt some animated explosive coffee later though, no guaranties that I'll show any of it however.

My style is so shoujo-ish from 80s... I want to get rid of it many time but unable to. And my males come out girly, no matter what I do. I give up.Anyways, I had some free time & wanted to draw something red. And all that come out is this.

Phooey... I wanted to work on a sketch I did a long time ago (over a year) and I seem to have lost it. It's not on my file server or my laptop. I searched this thread for about half an hour, but all I found was a very early production JPG, nothing after I made various edits.
Oh well. At this point, I should probably just redraw the sketch. It's too old to match what I want anymore, stylistically, so I wouldn't be happy with the result anyway.

On the subject of DA and Pixiv:
A social network will only be as valuable to you as the people you socialize with.
What you get out of a sites like these depends entirely upon the artists you find, and has nothing to do with the website itself AT ALL.

Very true. I've found there's a lot of luck and work even getting noticed on a site like dA. You have to join the right groups, fave and comment A LOT. And hope that some of the right people see your stuff. Also, knowing when to post can have an effect.
