I read the "Fun with a pencil" book previously recommended in here, and I must say that it was a complete waste of time, at least for me.
The entire premise of the book goes like:
1. Draw a circle
2. Draw another circle
3. Have fun!
4. Pro level drawing complete
To put it into perspective, let me give you an excerpt of my next book "have fun writing a multithreaded, highly scalable and secure online game server", in the style of "have fun with a pencil".
1. Create an empty text file
2. Write "int main() { }"
3. Have fun!
4. Done! Your 100k line program is ready to launch!
The entire drawing process is obviously trivial to the author, who clearly has lots of years of experience under his belt. I am tempted to think he wrote his book as a way of bragging his l33t sk1llz, but I'd rather apply Hanlon's razor, and simply believe that he just sucks at explaining.
Edit: w00t, post 10101!
