I've watched some episodes of a several series subbed by them, and afterwards I always re-downloaded those episodes sub by other groups, because I was unsatisfied with gg's work.I can understand that their subs can be amusing. However, if I don't have much free time for watching anime, then I want to get the best translation available. I don't want one that will require me to re-watch the episode with someone else's subs to get a more accurate translation of what was being said.

Their translations are accurate and actually better IMO since they convey a meaning rather than a word-by-word copy. But they have the tendency to just put their middle finger on a show.
