It's because once you lose weight you're body goes into survival mode. Only a few people can hold their weight.
I recently gained 6 kilos, but I lost 3 from it already.

You need to do it gradually the fact his skin did not shrink down at the same rate he lost weight is a clear sign he lost it way too quickly.

In before Kudi he also needed to put on some muscle mass as that will help keep it off.

I've managed to lose 30kg in about 18 months so it was pretty gradual.
Also the only way you can lose weight: eat less. Muscles don't really burn much calories. Also after you lose weight you'll be more hungry and your body becomes more efficient in energy use and store fat more.

I imagine he had quite a bit of muscle. Dude must have had swole calves.

That's up for debate. The amount of calories I've needed to maintain bodyweight certainly seems to have increased by a few hundred since I gained muscle.

A few hundred from a little more than 2000. Even for someone who does extreme physical work all day, the extra calories needed are usually under 1500.
I'm not saying that working out doesn't have positive effects in combination with low calorie intake, but a lot of people who want to lose weight think that working out is enough, but it isn't.

Those few hundred can make a big difference.

For me, I think the amount needed for maintenance is about 3500

    Indeed.

If someone is eating 5000 calories every day, working out won't cut it. But for someone who's only eating an extra few hundred...

From what I seen the typical starvation diets do not work because the body goes into survival mode.
The weight will be back in a few years often more then it was before.

If you want to loose weight and keep it off you got to move more and building muscle does help.
You also need to get rid of the diet mind set and just eat better and have an over all healthier lifestyle.
Get a dog that needs to be walked, get a bike or a hobby that requires you to be outdoors.
Eat veggies and fruits with the other foods you like you may like the new additions.
Do not drink soft drinks every time you're thirsty they're empty calories.
Learn to cook so you can control what goes into your food.

I lost 45lbs after getting dog and planting a garden that needed to be tended.
I changed nothing else about my diet well I do eat more veggie because I found out what they're supposed to taste like vs the flavorless things the super market sells.
Oh and I replaced soda with tea and water.

Well since he was starving himself those muscles probably would have melted away as some organs such as the brain cannot be powered by fat so the body raids it's muscle when it's starving.

This makes dieting a vicious circle the more you loose the less energy you burn etc.

He should have cycled some anavar and winstrol when he was cutting!

But you compensate it with increased calorie intake. That's the main problem.

IMO the diets are bullshit. You need to eat less, but you can still eat bacon, chocolate and other addictive/high-calorie stuff, just a lot less.
Also, I think in your case you've ate a lot less than before, since you've had shit to do, so you're felt more in control of yourself.
The other thing is that most soft drinks contain 40-50 kcal/100ml which means that 2 liters is about 1/3 of the calories you need for a day.

Fat is more of a compact energy storage(not a direct energy source), but it can power everything after metabolism. All that happens is that the body first metabolizes the extra muscle mass until it can start up the lipid-metabolism(which takes more time).

Maybe or just eat some fish and lean beef you know a healthier diet that is still enjoyable vs starve himself.

Now this video is down right hilarious when you have a detailed understanding of how magnetic levitation really works and don't get me started on the ridiculously bad aerodynamics.

Even if all the magnetite in the ground was perfectly aligned it still would not produce enough force to lift a feather let alone that vehicle.
BTW most maglevs actually pull up wards vs repel.

Some diagrams of real maglev systems.
Note the close tolerances and use of cryogenic cooling for the super conductors in the second pic.

Real maglevs only levitate at most a few inches above their track.

ATM I'm not interested in losing weight. But when I am, I just cut down to 2500-3000 per day. Weight comes off at about 1-2kg per month.

    Nah, steroids are easier.

Currently my plan is to get down to 80kg and then go back an forth between that and 85kg. I'll use the same method as you except that I don't do much physical work, since when I'm physically tired, it's harder me to fall asleep.

And have relatively few side effects if only used for a short term!

And would have fewer, if people could be sure they were getting what they thought they were getting (thank you black market!), and were aware of what to take and what post-cycle therapy to use.

My friend bought some "steroids" recently and it was fucking ephedrine...
Also, as a regular drug user, my best advice for anyone is the same as erowid's: Know Your Body, Know Your Mind, Know Your Substance, Know Your Source.
