There are times when I wished I could just lash out at some fuckers here who annoy me, but then I keep coming back to this fact that we're all but mere insignificant persistent existences in some shady backwater niche website. We're not politicians, or leaders of some organization. Hell, some of us don't even have many friends in real life. Our opinions, and the differences in those that contribute to some of the arguments, just don't fucking matter in the grand scheme of things because we're not going to facilitate change to any community bigger than here.
There are exceptions, such as when the SOPA thing seemed imminent on us - and I was partly happy when it seemed that SOPA was gonna happen anyway because certain parties on this website thought that shit won't even lift off the way it did, and talked shit to me about how I seemed to overblow it. Perhaps I even wanted SOPA to happen just so that those fuckers are gonna get got. Looking back at it now, maybe I didn't need to do anything. I'm starting to doubt my own reach in these very forums. Maybe I overestimated my role, even in this niche community.
So I'd look back at the logs from the beginning, realize how pathetic the conversation was, and simply stop responding. I may seem to have 'lost' some of the arguments here in these forums - and being regular human beings with feelings, I dare say I felt hurt at times -, but I won't gain anything by winning it either, so there's just no point in dragging on trying to prove my point. They've already made up their minds anyway, even if they themselves know they're wrong.

Well, I did say that I'll be looking for work.
It's just that all the people I used to know have either moved out or died. So when I'm not at work, or taking care of my parents' needs, I'll be restricting myself to a basement-like environment. haha
