I personally would love to go to Japan just for the food. All of it looks super tasty!

It is! And cheaper than in US, too. I got to eat tasty food of all sorts for about the same price we have in our company's cafeteria!

The only issue was that I had euro and euro was better than yen so it was cheap. If I had to go there with USD, then it could be a little more expensive.

There was this tonkatsu place, the price was around 720 yen, and you were given:
    - a cup of rice
    - a cup of salad
    - a cup of russian salad
    - a cup of miso soup
    - tonkatsu

    Water was free.
    It was something like this.

Oh, I almost forgot: screw vegans!

But I'm not sure if the box creature interrupted your fight with Godzilla, or if you encountered it after becoming bros while looking at the sunset.

It was Danbo that interrupted our fight

That looks good. And do they give you like water in a glass or a jar? I hate it when they only bring one glass. I DRINK LIKE 5 OF THOSE.

  7. There was always a jar, in every restaurant.
At sushi bars, instead, there were faucets from where you could get steaming hot water, with green tea powder on the side.

Very nice! I also have Kimono, Hakama + Haori Jacket set, but I don't remember anymore how to tie the belt and hakama.

I wouldn't argue against everything, except for the food - the food was awesome! And I'm super picky, I'm a professional asshole continuously complaining about food 24/7, AND YET Japanese cuisine never failed to deliver.

I'm very sad for your friend.

I totally agree with this. The food is way better than here in Finland. Even the food I ate the cafe was better than what you can get here in a restaurant...

I've been to Sweden and Norway multiple times, twice in Italy, Portugal, Greece, Poland and Lithuania but I do like the japanese food most.

Not just restaurants but also cafes. Even if you only order a cup of cappucino they always bring you a glass of water.

My experience was different. I think I got a jar maybe once or twice. Useally it was just 1 glass of water. But once that glass of water is empty they automatically fill it. You don't even have to ask them to do it.

The kimono wasn't mine, it used to be father's father's, and they had me dress in that to take me out to the temple, and then take pictures. I have also one in front of the house, with father and mother, but I ain't gonna share that.

Also, it took about 20 minutes and 4 people to have me wear the kimono. I remember standing half naked in the kitchen, filled with women discussing about what piece should go first.

  17. Yep. One opened in Nijmegen last year, had never been there before. And this is probably the last time as well. Sushi was OK, but I've had much better.
