In my experience, the people who post on the psychedelic sections of drug forums tend to be very articulate and creative, whereas the people who post on the cannabis sections write like 13-year-old girls on Facebook.

BTW, what about psychoactive prescription/otc medicine? I'm thinking opiate-based painkillers, benzodiazepines, etc

Here are a few fun facts for those who didn't already know:
British doctors can prescribe heroin! (although they call it diamorphine) Unfortunately, they only do this with terminal patients where it doesn't matter if they get addicted.
If you drink an heroic dose (at least one bottle) of cough syrup containing dextromethorphan as the only active ingredient, you get a strong dissociative experience (roughly similar to ketamine). There are hallucinations at very high doses. This makes the Flaming Moe/Homer episode of the Simpsons, where Moe order large quantities of cough medicine and claims he's addicted, very amusing.
South Asian pharmacists in London will sell you any prescription medicine you ask for if you pay them enough. They advise taking as much morphine as you want.
Hungarians think that ephedrine (otc in many places because it's used when making methamphetamine) is a steroid.
