Finally got it all working and working. So, here we go!
Christmas is about two months away, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't start decking are halls and our balls, and don our gay apparel of all colors. Tis' the season for giving and getting and to start that off is nothing more fun than a little Secret Santa. I will be hosting this years fantastic holiday event as Santa Ichi.
The rules:
? Post your wishlists of any kind. [Preferably Amazon, just to keep everything uniform as far as where to buy things]
? When posting your lists, please state one to two items that you are most looking forward to possibly getting.
? Try to be reasonable when posting your wish list. I am sorry, but I don't think many people on here can afford to buy you that $1,600 Alien laptop. Deal with it.
? If you don't plan to get someone something then don't bother posting your wishlist. Otherwise, you'll just be the douche who takes and doesn't give.
? Don't make fun of the things that people have on their lists unless it it truly hard to bypass, but I won't have this thread flooded with nonsensical nonsense.
If you are planning to participate then please let me know. I will be making a list of those who are participating and thus assigning at least one person to another just to ensure everyone will be getting something. It may not be someone you like, but that is the point of Secret Santa-ing. You probably got assigned someone you didn't like in school and still gave them something because your mom told you to. Well, I am Santa Ichi and I will tell you to. If you don't like that concept then don't bother participating officially. You may still get people something off of their lists, but just keep your trap shut about it. No need to go around gloating about getting someone something. Just a mess. If we happen to have an odd number of Santas then someone may get two of them, but that will be for me to know and the participants to know as well.
I would greatly appreciate that it is not publicly announced who has who. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of a Secret Santa all together. If you send your gifts early, please don't open them. I will set a date as to when things will and should be opened. That way everyone can post photos of what they received and a huge thank you can be made all at once. Feel free to start tomorrow, or next week, or even the week before Christmas itself to send your gifts [We will be ending this around December 20th though, so that is your deadline]. I am hoping to get at least 12 people. Yes.. I have small expectations.
As far as a limit for pricing goes, that it all for you to decided my Little Santas. I would say a max should be about $40.00 to be fair. I know most people can't afford much. Especially since a lot of you don't have jobs, but even something as small as a phone case can cost a minimum of $2.00. A lot of them without shipping. You can even get someone something that isn't on their wishlist. I will ask that the participants give me their addresses [If you feel you don't care if you get something off your wishlist or not and would like to have your Santa choose anything from the net to give you, I can give them your address. Confidentially of course]. I will not post anyone's addresses freely and will send them to respective Santas off of Sankaku if requested.
I believe that covers everything. Post your wish lists and you name if you want to participate. I will make a list of the participants along side their lists at the bottom of this post.
PARTICIPANTS:
Non-Santas, but they have lists anyways:
This is for people who don't have money to join the Secret Santa, but they have Christmas lists and wouldn't mind something, but do know that this means they may not be able to give you something in return. Good deeds are good deeds. Give a gift to a poor person.
