Social media hasn't gotten any weaker. Google is just trying to push their own service when facebook is already ubiquitous, and people resent being forced to use something they don't want, especially when it seems worse than what they already have. No one's complaining about MySpace coming back because they can choose to not use it, while Google+ is being shoehorned into everything.
Also I sneeze hardcore.
That's pretty much my problem with Google. They're trying to use Google+ as a competitor to Facebook. But instead of realizing that each social media website has something major the other don't have and see it as the way to improve YouTube, Google is forcing everyone to use a lame Facebook clone.
New question can this world be saved and is it worth saving?
By world I mean society and civilization.
The planet and life it's self will persist with or with out us.
I think the world can be saved and is worth saving but it will take a lot of hard work and cleverness.
I do sometimes wonder if Western civilization as we know it is a lost cause.

I came to that conclusion with some parts of society.
I'm not sure if the north east cost metropolitan area of the US is salvageable it's pretty screwed up.
