A YouTube artist I watch asked this in her new video: What is the worse haircut you've ever had?
I was 6 when I got the worst haircut. It was at a friend's birthday party where we had these hairstylists come to do everyone's hair. My hair was all the way down to my back and they cut off 2 inches and then did an updo. That..Updo. I will never forget it. I even ran home crying [since I lived around the corner] from embarrassment. They did a - and I kid you not - a CONEHEAD, curly updo and then sat this HUGE bow ontop. All the other girls got these cute ringlets that fell to their shoulders and I get this ridiculous conehead. Bad enough.. A week before I had cut my own bangs and there was a triangle taken out from the front. So not only did I have a conehead updo, but I had a Star Trek V on my forehead. When I got home my mom was piiiiissed.

The worst haircut I've ever had was when I was finally convinced to cut it short. I can't begin to describe how awful it was.

I walked out without paying once when a "stylist" did what she wanted, which I had distinctly told her not to when she suggested it. I mussed my hair and went to another shop.

It's the change in culture at many of them.
Back in the day computer companies often were strict meritocracies.
Skills and worth decided promotions more then degrees and ass kissing HR.Next they all want to jump on what seems to be hip vs knowing when to leave a good thing alone or when to try and be daring.
Google got infatuated with the Social media fad and the irony is right when they're pushing Google+ the fad is dying out.
