  6. It is kind of like offering someone a job and payment and then firing them on the same day.

This actually happened to a family friend too. He was supposed to be given a 500 USD bonus for tracking down a house for a flipping and got fired shortly after his company bought the house.

Pretty messed up stuff they did there. And now their reviews are getting 1 starred to death?

  11. Oh, I recognize the poor dude.

The only time I heard his voice for leading roles is when I watched a few hentai animes. He's definitely not new, because some of those animes date back to before 2006.

But man, that's some of the worst practical jokes you can pull on someone.

Problem is, that wasn't the first time. Some of the people involved continue to talk shit about him even after it happened(supposedly that's how it broke out to commonfolk).

Even Tomokazu Sugita's pissed when told about it.

Though I don't get how Eri Kitamura relate to the whole thing, just because she could be[citation needed] dating the producer that started this. If she was indeed part of it, I'd say all those years of playing bitchy female leads has gotten into her head, lol.

As for Miyuki Sawashiro, she's the 'majime' type. Serious all the time, don't joke so much, that kind of thing. Any radio show with her as a guest is a borefest, lol. She doesn't seem to be the type to hang out with pranksters.

  17. Whilst I do feel sorry for the guy who got pranked like that, this ultimately does not affect my love of this show, nor my desire to own the series for myself. The show's content has nothing to do with the conduct of the producers, even if it was totally uncalled for.

Also I highly doubt this "boycott" on the part of 2ch will have any lasting effect. Of the many things the denizens of 2ch are, one of those qualities is being very fickle. This will most likely blow over their minds just as quickly as it came to their attention, and they will be buying the BDs soon after.

If the drop in BD sales and reviews continue, you can bet your mortgage that it will have lasting effect. These animes make the most money through BD sales because what we see on TV is basically demo of the final, polished product. lol

I'm aware that BDs make up the lion sum of profit as far as late light Anime is concerned. All I'm saying is that it will most likely not last long. The Otaku of 2ch often make complaints against certain things (some valid, some not in the slightest) but at the end of the day it's people like them who still go out and by the BDs in droves no matter how much bad press a series attracts. They maybe angry now, but I am positive it will blow over soon enough. At the end of the day they will still be buying. At least that's what I think.

Not to mention, the idea of "There's no such thing as bad publicity" is rarely proven false (The only instances I can think of off the top of my head are Aya Hirano's decline, and the premiere of Skins in the U.S.). If Kokoro Connect becomes "That Anime where the Producer pranked some guy", it will most likely attract more people to the show and therefore increase the potential number of buyers (although it will sadden me that this show will most likely become talked about not because of it's content, but because of "production drama").

At least that's my take on it.
