  4. Thinking about going out tonight and picking up a couple of six-packs of local brews for the weekend. I don't really drink much anymore, but I suddenly have a taste for a good porter or stout.

  6. So I went out and got the best-value SWPL beer I could get, and I couldn't help but notice some strict segregation in the beer aisle: to the left is all SWPL/middle class/pretentious prick "beer" and to the right is prole "beer."

  7. Here is my current collection :> (the wine is my parents)

I need some more whiskey as I managed to run out and also grow my collection with some other varieties of poison (any recommendations?). and I will also need some more Tia Maria soon...

what is not in the photos is a scarily large amount of port and home made, 6 year old damson gin!!! (seriously, seriously good) and my garage which has some cooking wine (not mine), and a fridge full of good english cider, some scrumpy and lager (not mine).

I used to sip pickle brine when I was little.

    This explains everything...

No I did it out of curiosity.

I had that one once. Our little asian store sold it. But I couldn't find it a few weeks back. I now got this one instead now. They taste sort of the same, I think the Japanese one is a bit sweeter. - I usually switch back and forth between Plum wine and Sake. But sake is only good warm, and it's pretty hard to warm a bottle of sake. (I boil some water in a large pan and place the bottle of sake in it. Does the trick).
Which reminds me I need to get a new bottle. The Plum wine is almost empty.

    That is the traditional method.
