Sony has agreed to acquire Gaikai for roughly $380 million, becoming the first big video game company to snatch up a cloud gaming service.

Personally, I don't consider "contards" to be gamers... so this is a good move. Whatever kills "console" "gaming" faster can only be considered A Good Thing.
Play Crysis 2 on a 2880x900 monitor at 60 FPS and then maybe I'll consider calling you a gamer.

The console DRM historically is not as annoying as PC DRM.

I don't really think console gaming will ever truly "die". it might go through a low point where it becomes unpopular like it did in the early 80's before the nes came out. maybe it needs to collapse to be reborn again.

Companies like EA are the cancer killing PC gaming.PC gaming all but died for a while, but the great thing about the pc is it's much easier for small companies to do awesome things. I doubt minecraft would have ever been made if not for the freedom of developing for the pc.
