Okay, I remember saying that I was "California-bound" at the end of this month... but that's not quite as specific. And I'm not moving there... I just have business to attend to with a lot of free time thrown in as an excuse to stay longer than I should.
I went to my college today to finish registering for my classes. I already registered for three at home, but needed to get adviser approval before I could register for enough credits to be a full-time student. I'm taking 16 credit hours of classes this semester, which is more than my previous semesters, so hopefully the extra work won't be too much. Registration was finished quickly, since I'm a returning student and already knew which classes I wanted to register for before hand.
I had to meet with Financial Aid after that, which took much longer. I only spent a few minutes talking to the Financial Aid person, but I spent ages waiting in line.
Thankfully, my classes don't start on my birthday again, like they did last year.

I should have done this switch months ago.

Switched also to cable modem on monday, but since then no internet no phone. Right now I use my mobile as modem, it´s so damn slow.

Yah I had to do without internet for 2 days except for my phone or going to the library and I could not tether my phone unless I paid my wireless more to enable it.

Most US carriers are greedy jack holes who nickel and dime you every chance they get the fuckers want $60 a month for tethering and it's still band capped at a piddly 5GB a month.
The bastards used to even charge me for GPS maps but my new phone has free maps I can download on wifi so I don't pay them for that anymore.
My new ISP gave me a 400GB bandwidth cap so I should not hit that like the 200GB I had with DSL.

This is true, however, they get you once you go over the limit, that's where they make the BIG BUICKS! - and that cost is - 'outrageous' - to say the least! - especially that 5 minute rule, where they charge you like $50 per 5 minutes each over.
So, yea, Dirty (check it) as its usually not included in the home/mobile plan, as its a different matter.
Never went over in talk time but got close with data but I learned don't use the radio crap and youtube away from a wifi hot spot.

I pay 24.90 € a month( includes phone, SMS, internet flat) but they band capped at 500 MB a month from 7200 kb/s to 64 kbit/s.
On cable I have a 32 Mbit/s internet/ phone flat w/o bandwidth cap for also 24.90 €, that´s why I hope that my cable company fixes the problem asap.
On a side note, I quit my job. I don´t let me look on the fingers and/or boss around from a 26-year-old university graduates who still lives in hotel mama.

I once quit a job because they made me work six and seven days a week one too many times.
I had a new one already lined up and told the asshole to take the job and shove it in so many words.

Yah though if I do go over they do at least give me the option to buy the next larger data plan though the largest they offer is 5GB.
