This is the part I liked.

Yet, she cared enough to post that she did.... there might be some 'back-door' caring there??

  3. I just reread my old Spawn comics. Kinda glad I had no idea what NTR was back then. I had no idea Mystique was gay now since she has done it with a lot of guys but I'm presuming that was for power more than pleasure. Plenty of gay women are "bi" for rich guys.

Me and some friends brought up Powerman AKA Luke Cage back in the days.
My friend talk about a Skit where Luke had a argument with a someone over his headband someone brought up that it was a Tiara on his head.

DeadPool:You're the only Hero I know that wear a Tiara on your head.

    Luke Cage:Its a Headband ******!

    DeadPool:Uh-uh ****** that's a Tiara on yo head.

    Luke Cage:Shut up ****** Its a Headband!

    Deadpool:Whatever you say Princess!

Luke Cage:Oh, I am going to beat yo @$$ now.

It's a Green Lantern. There are more then one. To be more precise it's Alan Scott, From the 1St Green Lantern comic.

There are several alternative universes. In the new one DC calls "Earth-2" he is like 20 something and gay.
Here's all the Gay characters from DC.

He's the golden age one (1940's) - now he exists on some 'Alternate Universe' version of Earth called "Earth 2" where he's young.

so even though he's a Green Lantern - he's not in the Main Primary DC universe. ALL the original fans (from the 40's) are all in their 70's & 80's now - lol.

  13. So the New 52 wasn't another attempt to clear out all the alternates?

I sat in on the panel at comic con, nope. They just wanted to make use of some of...well....a lot more of the lesser loosely established characters.

DC is selling more comics now, so they're clearly fulfilling their purpose.

  18. To be clear, I meant the trick of having a crisis to get rid of all the extraneous alternate dimensions. They always came back or were replaced.

it's short lived though. Most of the guys that cover this news will tell you that the sales drop after after about 3-5 months and in less than a year you're back to your 'same numbers' prior to the gimmick.

The need to quick fuckin' around with gimmicks and focus on FRANCHISE writers & Tales. You want people to pick up that "X-Men" or "Batman" book without even flipping thru it- cause they know it's gonna be good.

If you didn't care about Alan Scott (or even heard of him) before - why is his "sexual orientation" suddenly gonna make the story or hero any better? - they should made a FRESH new character and make him Gay - then a Green Lantern cause then it wouldn't be conrived.

    - and for the collectors & die-hard fans it's really a

Yeah, that's why I only actually care about one-shots.
