What is your type of gun?

I fixed the title.
I've already said elsewhere, my favorite current gun is the M14. My favorite gun of all time might be the M1 used in WWII.
I like the guns often featured in movies and shows and stuff too. Like HK MP5, M4, P90, etc.
Now's a good time for me to talk about my personal history with guns. My dad owned a bunch of guns when I was little. A few pistols, a revolver, and a shotgun. When my dad's gun license expired, my dad decided not to renew it. Instead he donated all the guns to the local police department. He probably didn't want to keep guns in the house anymore with the news constantly publishing stories about how kids get a hold of guns and kill themselves. My dad always kept the guns in a safe, and the only time I saw them was when he took them out to give away.
Before my dad donated the guns, he cleaned them all and let me hold them(no bullets in them of course). I was probably around 10. I don't really remember. All of them felt heavy, even the 9mm. I took out the magazine and got to hold it for awhile. Then we cleaned them and packed them away. Later, my dad would give me an unused 9mm bullet which I kept as a memento. I still have that bullet in a box.
I remember when my dad brought in the revolver, the cops were so impressed, it was funny. The thing was huge. When quizzed on which would be best to kill a bear, my dad said that was the gun of choice. I had a lot of fun learning about the guns.
I like realistic computer FPS games like Rainbow Six, so coupled with that, I was really into firearms during my middle school years. My brother had a bunch of gun encyclopedias and I would read about all different kinds of guns, their origins, their specs, etc.
My interest died down during my high school years. Nowadays, my brother collects air soft guns so I look forward to playing with them when I get the chance. May buy one myself one of these days. Would I buy a real gun in the future? Maybe.

I only own two guns. A Remington 30-30 and a Springfield 9mm. My dad is a collector and likely has over 100 guns, so I have access to nearly anything I'd like to shoot, but as for owning, that's all I have. I'd like to get myself a Smith and Wesson revolver next.

I have only owned one gun so far, a Sig P250. I ended up selling it to help pay for my DSLR. However, I am now in the market for guns again. :P
I want a Nagant Revolver, Mosin Nagant M44, and a Ruger P95.

Well, i've never fired a gun in my life, but if i were to stard, i'd choose one of these "kid's weapons" with loads of small improvements to reduce the recoil and make it easy to use even for a child.
everyone have to start somewhere, and even a 9mm pistol should be more than enough to scare, hurt or kill another person
In videogames i always liked shotguns... Fond Resident evil 1/2/3 memories.

Don't be afraid of getting a "kid's weapon" and don't let anyone talk down to you about using one. If a 22lr can kill a grizzly bear then it can scare hurt or kill a person.
