Spoilers filter?

  1. Copying what I posted in the latest (at time of writing) news in the front page about the Mysterious Girlfriend X episode of this week:

"Sankaku could really afford to be a bit more careful, you know. It kinda sucks to open the site and suddenly know pretty much what's going to happen for the episode I haven't seen yet just from the title."

It's not the first time something like this happens, I usually follow the releases but most of the time I don't get to watch the episodes of airing anime until a couple of days later, and with Nisemonogatari I had a similar experience. Maybe something could be done about this? Am I an isolated case?

  2. DUH?

If you don't want to find out anything, you do not visit any threads or artecles. Don't touch anything - until you get the chance to check out something on your own and determine whether its any good for your own self.

    This should be "Common" sense.

  3. I didn't "visit" any thread or article, I visited Sankaku's front page and it had the said spoiler right in the first sentence of the page. I could stop visiting Sankaku until I have all my anime up to date if there's no other way, but I do like to read up on the non-anime articles.

I appreciate the condescention, but next time I'll do without.

  4. you did visit, you could of recognized the artecle for what it was, and closed your eyes.

There are other reviews out there, and there wasn't that much of a spoiler since the series has barely gotten off the ground.

You neeed to lurk moar, in the whole year since registering, you've only posted liek aboot a dozen posts.

  5. I'm familiar with the research about enjoyment of spoiled stories. It says nothing about a singular person's preference over having (or not) pieces of storyline revealed to them ahead of time.

Again, I appreciate the name-calling, but next time I'll do without.

  6. Don't visit the front page. Bookmark the Games section, for example.

If you dint open up that article that has been posted, I dont think it can be considered spoiler, it shows less than what the preview of each episode will show at the end of each episode. How can 2 picture maybe 3, spoil you? Unless you click on that article.

  8. I don't watch episode previews, and it's not really a major spoiler, but "Yuri NTR" is pretty revealing. I haven't watched the episode yet, so I don't know how much of it is revealed but I used this as an example only. It would be nice if there was a filter to take out possible spoilers.

As an example, I know that Nisemonogatari ends with a "to be continued" even though I haven't even started the series yet, because I happened to stumble upon an article one day back when it came out and it was obvious right away from the front page.

I'm not trying to make this a big deal, I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that finds it slightly annoying. The thing is, Sankaku doesn't cover EVERY anime episode, usually only the ones that involve sexyness or ero, so it's not like I'm coming to a website that is ABOUT episode commentary and getting spoiled on purpose. In the end, I'll probably just restrain from opening the front page until I cleared my to watch list of airing anime.

Apparently you're isolated (because) your getting/watching your anime way later than most are. - whether this is by choice, circumstances, or whatever...

Nonetheless, if your (already) late in receiving/watching the episode(s), while everyone else has - "already watched it" - either (during the actual airing) and 24hrs after the original airing, then - "why" - should the front/main page wait to hold off on it's publication because your one of the few that's - "late"?

Seems to me you need to - "catch up" - as well already be aware that spoilers will be out (at times) before an airing (because of the Manga) or immediately after the animu's airing...

    To put it simply...

I did at first because I don't watch everything as soon as it's available, but that's how it is here, so I learned to avoid unwanted spoilers.

  11. All they do is post porn-fodder, not plot. I don't really see the problem.
