There are breeds of dogs which are specifically raised to be eaten.
This was not the case - those were just strays or probably abducted from someone else. Treated poorly - to say the least - and then eaten.
Yes, this is a case of forcing some restrictions on people on the other side of the world. Restrictions such as treating animals in a proper way, even if they are meant to be killed and eaten. The US sucked hard a few decades ago for the care in treating animals such as cows. People complained because of the horrid conditions in which the animals lived in lead to disease and poor health conditions, which resulted in problems for the people who ate the meat. If you do not treat with respect the things you use, you're going to harm them and yourself in the process.
This is a matter of being responsible, damn it.
Also, it became a great deal over there as well, so this means people weren't exactly okay with eating dogs - I wouldn't be surprised if they used dog meat and sold it under a different label, and this brings us to what I just said.
If you lack food manners, I hope you die uncomfortably.

horse meat is seen as acceptable because of its properties. I don't know anything about it, but I'm fairly sure people with some specific intolerances can still enjoy the flavor of meat eating horses.
It's especially low on fats and rich in iron - also, the iron contained in horse meat is much more digestible than the one contained in spinachs. It is suggested for anemic people, pregnant women, and athletes.

so just because the meat from x animal is the best on X and Y shit we should add it to our everyday consumption ? , yeah kind of hard the fact on those Veg Posters but it can be helped , i eat cow , chicken and pig too and i deal with it and i wont cry each time that im eating them , im grateful of their sacrifice

Just eat whatever you want, I don't really care as long as you don't pointlessy harm the animals. Like, you know, those who breed chickens in cages and they stuff them with drugs and other crap to have them lay more eggs. The chickens are so stressed that they try to kill themselves, so people usually chop their beaks and their nails off.
In Italy there's a law that requires producers to print on the egg boxes if the chickens were raised in cages or on the ground; of course eggs from chickens raised on the ground are more expensive, but hey, I still prefer them.
Something similar goes with tuna - most of the ships wreak havoc in the sea, using methods that destroy whatever plants may life on the bottom, and the nets catch a lot of other fish which are not tuna, destroying the submarine habitat. And then there are companies who are concerned about the environment and use less brutal methods.
Rather than being concerned with what you eat, you should focus on how what you eat was treated before reaching your plate, in my opinion.
