  3. Im watching spider man 3 on tv, which up until now I have had the common sense to avoid.

Spidey is dancing around with his emo hair and giving chicks hand pistols and tsk-tsk winks.

this movie is fucking dildos, but Spidey just bitch slap kirsten dunst, so I shall continue to watch

  4. I just watched the last harry potter movie, the deathly gallows 2 or whatever the name. It truly is a horrendous movie, especially after reading the books.

Also I wish the sound editor just died. Why the hell do they have to make the characters whisper and then add explosion at maximum volume? Is it really that difficult to level up the audio so you can hear every line and still survive whenever there's some weird effect? Hulk was just the same, damn it. If I were given the chance to supervise the editing, I'd melt faces all the time.

  5. Willard. It was okay but with the material they had it could have been made into a much better movie. It instead turned out to be average to below average.

I love all the movies for the trailers you posted, but I honestly wouldn't recommend Citizen Kane to anyone who isn't already a fan of old movies or the production of them. The story is pretty bland and boring. The best thing about the film is the production. All the new techniques or adaptations of the old ones by Gregg Toland and Orson Welles are incredible. The use of the camera was spectacular. I've watched it around 4-5 times simply to admire the work.

Anyway, I recently rewatched Coraline. It was the first time since seeing it in 3D (which sucked for me because I got a massive headache). So it was nice to see it in 2D and actually be able to appreciate it.

Well, since Citizen Kane is generally considered one of the top 50 or 100 best movies in the world, and in the top 10 or 15 best American movies (American Film Institute has it number one), I think everyone should try and watch it at least once. The only way to find out if you like or dislike Citizen Kane (or any movie) is to watch it.
My recommendation, to anyone who wanted to watch it, is to first watch it (if you have the time) with Roger Eberts commentary on, then watch it again with the normal sound track. Eberts commentary is almost a film class in itself.
Here's three opinions of Citizen Kane:

  10. Finally watched the Avengers the other day. I had a feeling I'd enjoy it better on the big screen than over youtube, but oh well.
Pretty good overall, but it's best to watch the origin films of the characters (the Ironman series, Captain America, Hulk, Thor) to fully appreciate this film.
I also thought that one of more supervillains could have been added alongside Loki as he seemed to be a bit of a pushover in the face of the Avengers.

Hopefully they use Kang the Conqueror in the 2nd one.
