:< why Deth-chin? its not my fault that the lion king gives me heavy nostalgia and turns on the waterworks on my eyes in that one particular scene

    >Deth-chin
    >chin
    >i

Is that some kind of innuendo?

  4. yes, seriously. sometimes animated movies can have sad moments that can move people to tears, if anyone would understand that is an otaku.

  5. OG Japanese movie. Shuto Kousoku 4
I love the scene in the beginning. The little boy has a terminal illness and his brother trades in his parent's car and his car for a Skyline which is his little brothers favorite car.

I'm going to try two Singaporean films, Mee Pok Man and Tatsumi.

    Mee Pok Man:

Not for everyone; romance gone very bad. Who decided to list it as "black comedy"?

Someone who tried to make a serious movie but failed miserably and is now pretending it's supposed to be that way.

  9. In this case it's devoid of comedy, even failed attempts.

    Tatsumi:

Based on A Drifting Life, winner of both Tezuka and Eisner awards.

Disjointed, but recommended for students of manga and history. Not for kids.

  10. Saw The Dark Knight Rises. It is too long, but it's still very good.

  13. Death Wish I and II. Ahh, now those are 80's all the way. Back when every black man was a mugger / rapist, every dude with a vest or leather jacket was a psychotic murderer, detectives were hard boiled, old, fat slobs, and all the music was jazzy sax or droning synth rock.

I'm on an 80's kick lately.

The health inspector where I used to live was named Charles Bronson, actually. Didn't want to mess with him.

  20. War of the Arrows sounds familiar, but I haven't seen either.

I did watch Usagi Drop last night. It was simple, sincere, and a little misty in places.
