Prometheus: I went in there expecting a mindfuck movie, but the biggest mystery is why people are so confused about the plot and some are calling it an intellectual's movie. There is nothing to be confused about the story....quite straight forward
It just fuck, how pointless...i just can't comprehend how they go with the story, so much thing left out and unexplained...as if they just try to move along until the final bursting alien scene.
And plenty of stupidity on the show itself
- Prometheus is supposed to be 1 trillion dollar space exploration project, but the crew are bunch of amateur. Surprise motherfucker, you think we gonna bring all expert in?, and since it's trillion dollar project, forget about the weapon, all we need is flamethrower and suicide ship, coz you know, alien are bunch of friendly people- An idiot who took off helmet in unidentified planet just because the air is breathable...hello, how about some possible contamination?
- Where is the fking unmanned probes? we gonna meet our maker, so let just walk in and say hi, without considering any other form of danger.
- They were wearing general purpose space suit, but yet somehow, they were unharmed by the storm flying rock and debris. If the suit is so strong, why at later scene the helmet easily smashed?
- the two crew who stuck inside building, they were so scare of entering that specific room, but decide to go back there for god fucking reason. Saw an alien, in a room full of black liquid and decide to say hi.....see the big problem here?
- the two crews, yeah... the geologist with two puppies, got lost...get it?
- the main girl, impregnated alien, the crew want her to sleep, she want the baby out, she got it out, and no one give a shit...hello, are you alright lady, where is your fking baby?
- the warship is crash, David tell the girl there are more ships...then why the fuck the alpha-male dun go to their other ship? why bother so much to go inside wrecked prometheus?
Those are just minor loophole in the story, the big one...dun feel like saying it, this movie is just average, average at best...those who think this is some sort of intelligent stuff should watch american pie.

as usual I'm late for the good questions
horror films
The Exorcist, scared the shit out of me as a kid and I loved it! I watch it whenever they release it on theaters, still makes me feel uneasy
Carrie (it was the mom) really scary
Someone mentioned REC which is really good. Tesis is another horror/suspense movie from Spain that is really fucked up.
someone else mentioned Ereaserhead, which to me wasn't scary but it was very eerie and creepy on some scenes.
The Grudge scared me stupid the first time I saw it.
Birds surprised me on how nervous and anxious it made me feel. Its not terror, it just made me feel really really uneasy. I liked it better than Psycho.
The Orphanage and The Devil's Backbone, both great fucking movies by Guillermo del Toro
Im not sure if Perfect Blue would fit under horror but it was a great mindfucker that kept me guessing and in suspense the whole time.
when I finally got around to watch Paranormal Activity I accidentaly downloaded it with the "alternative" end (which was the original end, but they changed it in order to make sequels) and I got to say it was better than I expected and that ending was great, really creepy (where she cuts her neck open infront ot the camera, her last look as the demon leaves her body and left her to realize what she has done)
1408 was great, even tho the scene where mini Samuel L Jackson is inside the fridge, I still loved it and was pretty descent scary
The Mist was great
Child's Play, that is the original Chucky was scary and was awesome, that's before Chucky became a joke of itself
im sure I'll remember more once I go to bed

Just saw Madagascar 3. Definitely the best by far; they decided to crank everything up to 11, and it's lots of fun.

I always forget this one somehow. I don't like horror, but The Mist really is great.

Napoleon Dynamite. It's a classic. I'm not sure why, but it is.

I was playing with a Rubik's cube and remembered the movie Cube, another horror movie that I liked. Haven't seen the sequels tho, maybe I should get them right now
And another horror movie that I really liked was The Poughkeepsie Tapes, which despite having some minor moments of cliched and cheesie low budget acting, was pretty damn good.
Im not sure if it had a very limited release or if it was released straight to video, but I remember I saw the trailer once at the theaters and that was it, never again until a year and a half later when I downloaded it

Marathon all three Cubes, that was fun.

Men in Black 3.

Taken was on earlier, and it only reminded me that I need to see "The Man From Nowhere" again.

I've been wanting to see Cube for a while. Even with the poor acting and low-budget special effects evidenced in the trailer, the concept is really interesting.

District 9.

Monkey Business
Wedding Present
Wings in the Dark
Big Brown EyesAll of them are from the 30s-50s and star Cary Grant. I've seen Monkey Business a couple of times, but the other 3 were all ones I haven't seen. None of them were very good. Just typical romantic comedies/dramas of the time. I'm trying to watch every Cary Grant movie made, and I'm over half way there.
Now I'm watching Kiss Them for Me.

It probably could have been. Especially because it had Jayne Mansfield in it.
