I saw Snow White and the Huntsman yesterday. Pretty good, Charlize Theron steals the scene every single time, the visuals are great, other than a couple of tiny bids they left all comedy out and they kept the story simple and without so many changes over the version most people know.
Now as far as Kirsten Stewart (aka twilight chick) she's not terrible, however (and I thought this was funny) she doesn't really have that many lines. The title has her name, and she's the main character, but the way they played it out she was playing second fiddle to the Queen and the Hunstman. But it works! it didn't bother me at all. I guess they used her limited acting abilities with a script that didn't require her to really do much and worked out perfectly.
And she's pretty, she looks like a mouse of something and she looks cute to me.
And before the previews they announced that they will be showing Citizen Kane, Cool Hand Luke, The Exorcist, A Clockwork Orange, The Wizard of Oz and like other 5 classic films I would give my left nut to see on the big screen. But they will show them while I'm away. It never fucking fails, in the 5 years I've lived here they've only had 4 special presentations (at all!) and the month I'm away they cram all the good shit. Good grief <:3

they go about the fairest of them all by her beauty plus how pure her heart is, so in that sense snow white is the fairest. You know because Charlize Theron killed the King and eats the youth of girls and is an evil evil bitch and whatnot lol
but yeah Charlize is beautiful, I still find Kirsten pretty
EDIT: And don't be silly Vegio, Thor can't be the fairest of them all! no matter how handsome he is! you are one silly raccoon for even thinking that (gives Vegio a cookie for being a silly raccoon)

Had a look at the trailer. Thor is hawt. Charlize looks good (and way less manly than she did in Aeon Flux). Kirsten looks good, but I would have preferred Kristin Kreuk in the role (she was Snow White in another film).
I'm pretty picky as to what I watch in theater over here, given the expensive ticket prices relative to other countries (which are constantly rising). Going to watch Prometheus though. The origin of humans - how can I miss that?

Same here, although I get discounts on a few cinemas once in a while. Still, I'm really picky cause I don't feel like wasting money on shitty films.
Such as Project X. I ended up watching it with some friends at my bf's place. Since I'd first seen the trailer I thought it was the lamest movie ever. I just went to the region premiere of Moonrise Kingdom, the new Wes Anderson movie. I hated his film Rushmore, but I loved Fantastic Mr. Fox, so I was basically using this movie to figure out if I liked him or not. I really enjoyed it, but not enough to worship him like so many other people do.

i recommend The Raid
It has some of the best fighting choreography i've ever seen in movie...although the rest of the movie elements are pretty much shitty production, the fighting scene make up all for it.

Oh, I skimmed over the description when we were choosing what to watch, but it seemed like it was all action and no plot. Am I wrong?
