  1. A Philippine-born naturalized Korean citizen name Jasmine Lee faces a lot of hate on the internet by Koreans for her campaign pledges including free medical care for illegal aliens, tuition assistance for foreign students studying in Korea, airfare support by the government when foreign brides of Korean spouses visit their home countries and when their parents come to visit Korea.

  7. This is the first time I've ever heard of Koreans being angry about something that's actually worth being angry about.

Usually they're declaring war because someone laughed at one of their ice skaters or labelled a map with "Sea of Japan" instead of "Sea of Kimchi".

I'd like John Hayabusa to say something about this, since he's a Filipino too.

  9. If the article is truly correct, it's fine to help people using her power but she might as well choose who to help and in what way. Just get them TnTs' asses back here.

  14. This whole thing is eerily similar to the type of discussions we have over here in the states about illegal aliens though only more racist.

It is harder for the U.S to do something like this. Since, we are not a country with only on ethnic group.

  16. I've witnessed more racism in the US than in Korea, to be honest.

It's the opposite for me, probably because I'm hafu, but a good number of Americans are more "race conscious" because it's inevitable in a society such as ours.

I'm not saying that they made it up. It's my first time seeing the news and I haven't been to ABS-CBN's website in months, nor have I watched TV lately. I also don't trust everything I see on the web, regardless of the source, immediately.

I do know about her being in a position in Korea.
