As Mercury moves towards a conjunction with Uranus, we should be on the look out for new information that will change our perspective on something. But this information may not come from an expected source, or in a way that we’re used to receiving knowledge. The combination of Uranus and Mercury is an electric one. It creates sparks of inspiration, insight and knowing the likes o...f which we may not have experienced much before. Hence we may run the risk of dismissing it when it occurs. The knowledge that Mercury brings us is not so much the intuitive kind that belongs in the realm of Jupiter. It tends to relate more to information and facts than intuitions and feelings. But when combined with Uranus, it can be mind-blowing facts that seem to come from nowhere but can change the course of your life if you give them the attention they deserve. So over the next fortnight, pay attention, because the cosmos may just be sending you a message you’d be daft to ignore!

Today the heavens bring into focus our desire for personal satisfaction reflected against a backdrop of our responsibilities towards others. There may be some frustration in this regard, causing what feels like unnecessary irritations and obstacles. But in fact these are issues that we need to look at and deal with now. Some people believe we can have anything and everything that... we want if we want it enough and in the right way. I would rather reframe that to: we can have whatever we want if it aligns with the bigger picture, and the skill lies in knowing what that bigger picture is and how to know when what we desire is or isn’t in accordance with it. As the Sun approaches a sextile to Neptune, it reminds us that ‘checking in’ with our Higher Self, our Soul, whatever words work for you, is a very important part in discerning when to pursue our goals no matter what, and when to allow them to fall away from us in favour of something more in keeping with the greater good. And a sextile from Jupiter to the Moon reminds us that faith in the bigger picture can be of great help when we know we need to let go of something that we’ve held dear. So today’s a good day for examining our hopes and dreams in this light, and discerning which ones we need to nurture and which, if any, we need to release back into the melting pot of creation.
