How was it better than LoL? Can you tell me a couple of details :3 ?

Dota 2 is very similar to the original DoTa. I prefer Dota over LoL because it is much more challenging to play competitively. Also, LoL is very unbalanced in comparison.
But that's just my opinion.

I've watched videos and streams of dota 2, and I've tried to like what I saw, but I just don't. IMO LoL has a certain charm to it that HoN and dota 2 lack.
Also, it's annoying to keep being told to play a game that's not out yet. At least when I ask people to try LoL, I'm not asking them to go out of their way and buy a game they may not like or obtain a key to play a game that's still in beta.

I never told you to play it, I just stated my opinion. You're entitled to yours. LoL's more casual and newbie-friendly, which is attractive to some people. I've noticed that people who played DoTa first tend to be inclined to dislike LoL.

And yeah, I'm more of a casual player, so that may be why I prefer LoL.

So, its my birthday today. I'm not really doing anything and I don't get my present from my parents until they get home 'cause they leave for work at 7:30am and there's no way I'm getting up that early.
It was nice to see all the birthday messages on Facebook. I know that most people probably only realize its my birthday 'cause Facebook tells them, but its nice all the same. Kinda made me realize that I do have a lot of friends, which I sometimes forget because so many of them live far from me.
