Yes, Mayonaise. But really the Mayonaise there is different than your usual Mayonaise... What I am used to that is. Funny thing is, I said I liked the Mayonaise, and the next the my friends Grandmother bought me a tube of it. So I didn't leave empty handed!

I just watched and half-participated (as an armchair participant--like a boss) the annual Remembrance of the Dead. I often criticise my own country, but it's moments like these that I can't help but feel somewhat proud.
I didn't used to have much of an interest in my national history, but I've been unusually interested since about half a year. I spend increasingly much time reading about the Netherlands' war history. Now that I actually know a thing or two about it, the Remembrance of the Dead suddenly carries much more meaning for me. It felt a lot more impressive this year.
