This is quite funny. I have a friend like that as well. She's very big on Shooters and an avid Team Fortress fan.
Today, when we were slacking off in Typogrpahical Design 2 class as we do, I look over to her screen to see her watching gameplay for what I believed to be a unreleased title, I ask what was she watching, now having scanned the page to found that it was Serious Sam 3 gameplay- before I could say nevermind I've seen this before she says "You wouldn't be interested because it isn't anime."
The only hint of my taste in games she has is me reading about Persona 4 the golden on Andriasang in class and my complaining to a fellow classmate about cyberconnect2 recycling the same boring engine for every anime fighter they make.
I ask "Why would you assume such?", she replies "You don't seem the type to play really violent games."
"Pointless violence bores me now yes, but what does that have to do with may overall taste in games?"
She never really explained herself.
I wasn't interested in the game though to be honest, I knew it was infamous for being over the top and poorly constructed in its previous installments.
